When looking for a genuine, immersive and take it is experience Kitu Kiblu is a great choice to take. We spent a wonderful week there and are enthusiastic of all facilities and people; everything is exactly as described in the profile. Accomodations could be choosene to be more discreet (on the trees) or more common and we strongly suggest the second option; apart from an incredible quality/price ratio the whole experience deserves to be done! We appreciated so much to have shower in the jungle surronded by palm leafs and accept a rope is the door for the toilet (yes, it's true and frankly speaking all is priceless!!!!). All the description look a bit as only for brave and indeed this "return to the basic" is exaclty what I think it should be experienced to understand we don't need that much to feel happy, just go back to the essential and appreciate!!! People have been very friendly and inclusive and did their best to let us feel welcomed and help for local activities.

The staff were delightful, kind, friendly and always helpful. The accommodation was excellent for my daughter and I. We could not have been happier. Any query we had, or the adaptability of our meals were all catered for with such grace.

The staff are great, making sure we had the best time there. They helped organise trips out around the island putting us at ease. The rooms are spacious with WiFi and air con. The food was good too.

Everything was very fine - even if the accommodation is not yet perfect and still missing some finalization. But I was very happy at your place and I can recommend Maweni absolutly especially for guests just coming by ferry boat as you could reach Maweni in a couple of minutes by food, as well very close to the Mafia airport. All the nice food and the taking care of everything I really appreciated. I was very amazed about the taking care of the beach and the garden every day, the view and the nice and open location. They helped arrange all of our tours, which were phenomenal. Abi was so attentive to our requests and made us feel like we were staying with friends not just guests. I hope to return!

Fantastic staff, always happy and smiling, and the owner Mussa was super helpful when we arrived with the ferry from the mainland! The location is great, next to a nice beach with no beach sellers harrasing you. They also arrange the whale shark snorkeling tours right from the property at a fair price. Breakfast was super and the overall vibe of other travellers at this hotel was very good with people from all over hanging with each other. This was our favourite hotel during our whole trip in Zanzibar/Tanzania/Mafia and so good that we returned here for an additional night.
