On this full-day tour, you’ll have the chance to cross the North Macedonian border and discover the sights of Skopje.
After an early morning pickup from your Sofia hotel, you’ll set off on a 3.5-hour drive into North Macedonia. Along the way, you’ll hear more about the history of Bulgaria and the Balkans. Upon reaching Skopje, you’ll meet up with a local guide and head out on a two-hour walking tour of the city. As you explore, you’ll see some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Skopje Fortress, the Memorial House of Mother Teresa, the Old Bazaar and a nearby 15th-century mosque.
Before returning to Sofia, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the country’s history and culture from your guide, including its past as part of Yugoslavia and its modern way of life.
