On this running tour, you’ll get to explore many offbeat kampongs or villages in the Malang region of Indonesia, along with a local guide. You’ll begin the 7.5 km trail at a conversational pace and make various stops on the way. First, you’ll pass through Celaket, where you’ll see houses coloured in the traditional Malang Batik style. You’ll then cross a bridge and further run along the Ijen Boulevard, which is a picturesque wide lane.
You’ll further come across the Roman Catholic Cathedral built in 1934 with neo-gothic style architecture. Then you’ll enter the kampongs where you’ll get to see the local life up close. You’ll have time to explore the art in Kampung Warna Warni and Arema. Finally, you’ll round off the tour in a local street restaurant popular for its Gado-Gado and Soto Ayam. You’ll also have one refreshing fresh fruit juice to end your run.
