On this private tour, you will visit Castelsardo and its main sights for a full day. This excursion will also include a stop at Monte d'Accoddi to explore a remarkable archaeological site.
Departing from Cagliari, you will travel for 2,5 hours in the direction of Castelsardo. Once here, you will have the opportunity to walk through the ancient medieval streets built around the Dorias castle, visit the Cathedral of Sant'Antonio Abate with its magnificent bell tower and explore different religious, civil and historic monuments, such as the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, La Loggia Palace and Eleonora d'Arborea Palace.
Your guide will also take you to discover old handicraft shops to see the characteristic products made in this area of the island and learn about the raw materials used to make them.
The tour will continue to Elephant Rock, located on the outskirts of the village. Inside this mass of trachyte stone, you will be able to admire two chambered tombs from the Neolithic period decorated with reliefs and symbols. The last stop will be Monte d'Accoddi and its unique pyramidal altar, where your guide will explain the history of these Neolithic archaeological ruins before driving you back to your hotel.
