    The operational hours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum are:

    - March–July: Monday–Sunday, 07:30–19:00

    - August: Monday–Sunday, 07:30–20:00

    - September–November: Monday–Sunday, 07:30–19:00

    - December–February: Monday–Sunday, 07:30–18:00

    The museum is open until 20:00 on 5 and 6 August.

    The last admission is 30 minutes before the closing time.

    You can reach the venue in the following ways by:

    - Taking the 24 Hiroshima bus for Yoshijima from the south exit of JR Hiroshima Station. From here, get off at Heiwa Kinen Koen.

    - Taking the Hiroshima Meipuru~pu at the Shinkansen-guchi exit of Hiroshima Station. From here, get off at Heiwa Kinen Koen.

    The orange and green lines both stop at Heiwa Kinen Koen.

    - Taking a limousine bus bound for Hiroshima Bus Center from the first floor of the arrival gate at Hiroshima Airport. From here, get off at Hiroshima Bus Center.

    - Taking the 21 Hiroshima bus from Hiroshima Port to Hiroshima Station, Mukainada-ohara or Yokodai-danchi. From here, get off at Chuden-Mae and walk for about ten minutes.

    - Driving from Fukuyama/Higashi-Hiroshima on National Route No. 2, heading towards Hiroshima Station, and then towards Heiwa-Odori Peace Boulevard and the Peace Memorial Park.

    - Driving from Iwakuni/Hatsukaichi on National Route No. 2, heading towards Nishi-Hiroshima Station, and then towards Heiwa-Odori Peace Boulevard and the Peace Memorial Park.

    - Driving from Hiroshima IC and taking Route No. 54 south towards Hiroshima Castle or Hiroshima Bus Center. From the bus centre, head towards Heiwa-Odori Peace Boulevard and the Peace Memorial Park.

    No parking is available at Peace Memorial Park, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, unless for visitors with disabilities. If you plan on arriving at the venue by car, please park at a paid parking lot nearby.

    Please note that you cannot reenter the venue after leaving.

    This experience is pushchair and wheelchair-accessible.

    Coin lockers are available on the first floor of the East Building. A deposit of a JYP 100 coin is required, which will be returned later.

    Please do not touch the exhibits or displays, except for the Hands-on Exhibits.

    Please maintain silence so as not not disturb other visitors.

    Large bags are not allowed inside the museum.

    When using a writing tool, please be careful not to damage any artefacts.

    Video and photography without flash are allowed for personal use. No application is required for the same. However, tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed in the museum.

    Photography with flash and/or for the purpose of publication requires an application in advance.

    Please ensure other visitors are not disturbed by the sound of your camera shutter or cell phones when taking photos.

    Please avoid talking on your cell phone at any of the exhibition rooms.

    Eating and drinking are allowed only in the designated areas. You may consume food and drinks in the Visitor’s Lounge on the first floor of the East Building.

    Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum. The designated smoking area is located on the south side of the East Building across Heiwa Odori Blvd.

    All dangerous objects are prohibited inside the museum.

    Pets are not allowed in the museum, with the exception of guide, service and hearing dogs.

    Please comply with all the instructions given by the museum staff.

    The audio guide is available in Arabic, Chinese, English, Filipino, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai and Ukrainian.
