This place was an unexpected treasure off the Camino path. The bar/restaurant/hotel had the old time country inn flavor, no friendlier or more accommodating staff to be found! The restaurant food was excellent, the midday meal was well attended by local working men who ate with the gusto of hardworking young men. The pride of the El Molinero team in their facility was evident in every detail of this property from the room’s rustic finishes to the general cleanliness and tasteful artistic touches. A staff member will pick you up in the Camino town of Rabanal del Camino (for peregrinos) and return you to the route. The wifi was excellent! Loved the feeling of having the entire village to ourselves!
La Posada del Druida features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Foncebadón. Providing a bar, the property is located within 17 miles of Palacio Episcopal de Astorga.

Such a fun stop along the Camino! It’s a busy spot but the staff are attentive and so friendly! I was checked into a lovely, clean room. I had dinner that evening and breakfast the next morning. Both were great!

The property is impeccably maintained. You can tell so much care has been put into giving their guests the best stay possible. It’s in the quaintest town on the Camino. They even have bikes available so you can pedal around the charming town.
Set in a stunning mountainous location, from this beautiful, rustic-style guest house you can enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape and the stars at night.

Lovely village just off the Camino de Santiago to west of Astorga. Great overnight stop, but longer if you need to write, paint, or contemplate life of a handsome old riverside village in spectacular wooded foothill landscape,
