Compact old town centre (mostly reconstructed) with not much to see for tourists. Beethoven’s house was worth the visit though, we also enjoyed the Macke exhibition at the Art Museum. There were few decent restaurants around the town, we found an Italian, “Italiani” that served a good pizza. Lots of snacky places or SE Asian type food places. Seems to cater more for students. For us it was just an overnight staging post on a long journey, I couldn’t recommend staying there for any length of time (and if you do, give the hotel Lohndorf a miss…!).

I visit several times per year for work and it is always beautiful. I always see new parts of the city and it is always beautiful. IMO it is a great city and the public transportation makes it easy to get around without a car.

Much smaller than its close neighbour, Cologne, Bonn does not get behind in terms of its great history, multicultural feeling, amazing food and drink options, excellent variety and efficiency of public transportation system, excellent facilites for pedestrians and cyclers and vibrancy of overall urban life, even late at night. And it really gets forward in terms of great historic architecture, public spaces, safeness and costs. I really enjoyed the experience, even for a work trip, I just loved wandering around the historic center, the Rhine front, the central train station and all the way south to the World Conference Center and west to the Alter Friedhof. All I saw, lived, ate and bought was met with nice people, great spots for taking pictures and amazing experiences. Would have loved to stay longer, to visit its many museums.

A smaller, but vibrant and multicultural city, with an amazing assortment of attractions (of which visited few, due to a very tight time and budget, due to attending a congress in the city) and the best and most convenient public transportation system that I have seen. The historic center is amazingly beautiful, clean and ordered, the Rhine border is beautiful and if you love Beethoven or are interested about Post-War Germany, this is the place to be. Lastly, I come from a place where cities are deserted at night, so going to a place where people are just, safely, enjoying in the streets, eating out or clubbing was a really nice experience to live, as an urban planner.

From the little that I saw, the city is ok.
From the little that I saw, the city is ok. Lots of visible homelessness and drunkenness in the public open spaces though. As a lone female traveller this affected how safe I felt. It is not a city I would visit for a vacation. For business purposes it is ok.
Unusual place, a very big garden room at the back of the property, well furnished and perfectly clean. I was fully occupied and only used it to sleep, so did not make use of the garden, but a great amenity if you are staying in central Bonn and don't need to stay in a hotel. Good supermarket a few doors away. Neighbourhood is quiet and pleasant with some small bars etc that I would have liked to try with more time.
A great property less than 5 min away by walk from Bonn Hauptbahnhof. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with new modern furniture & friendly staff. Nice big terrace, several good cafes just next door (a coffee place, a poke place, few restaurants) + it's about 5 min walk from the very center. My room was facing the train line but I couldn't hear a sound even being a light sleeper. Highly recommended.
Beautiful location on the borders of the Rhein. Close to Bonn city centre(by car 15 minutes), Koningswinter and Schloss Drachenfels. Friendly, correct staff at reception and we had a nice spacious room with a water bowl for our dog. You can park in front of the hotel or in the underground carpark.
Fabulous concept of mixing care home with hotel accomodations
We found it worked very well
Extremely friendly and helpful receptionist and all staff very pleasant
We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend
Excellent location to explore Bonn city centre
Beautiful old building in the heart of Bonn. A classic, lovely Bed and Breakfast only a few of which can be found in Germany.
Large, bright and well equipped rooms with shared facilities. Very nice, welcome atmosphere and staff.
Very convenient location just opposite the station, close to a variety of shops and restaurants. Friendly staff. Small gym which opens early (at 6) which I had to myself. Kettle in the room which is quite rare in Germany.
We enjoyed our breakfast at a very reasonable price.
Bathroom is simple, elegant and very clean.
A small kichenette was much appreciated.
Location is within walking distance to the center of Bonn.
An old fashioned hotel. Breakfasts were excellent and there is also a restaurant attached to the hotel as well as a gym within a two-minute walking distance where you can purchase a day pass.
The hotel’s location is a walking distance from the Bonn Hauptbahnhof station, the room is spacious for two people, healthy spread of breakfast and the owner is friendly and approachable.
Very good location, right in the centre of Bonn, cosy and quiet. Friendly staff who are ready to help with any questions. I highly recommend this hotel to all guests of Bonn!
For a European hotel the shower size is WONDERFUL! Excellent breakfast buffet. Very friendly and professional staff. Convenient location near the central part of Bonn.
Fantastic location close to city centre, especially if you use the underground passage to the train station. The room size was larger than other budget hotels.
The hotel is situated at a very nice view 2minutes walk to the Rheinriver, walkable distance to the train station. Had a boat cruise from Bonn to Linz and back
Beautiful place. Very comfortable. I found a fantastic fish restaurant a block away. This hotel is walking distance from the Bonn-Bad Godesberg train station.
