This charming hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Madrid, between the Puerta del Sol and the Plaza de Cibeles, and boasts easy access to the main tourist sites.

The Paseo del Arte is a short distance from the hotel. This features the most important art galleries in Madrid: the Reina Sofía, Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Prado. In the surrounding area you can also find the city’s most lively and popular nightlife. The hotel is also convenient for the AVE (high-speed) train station at Atocha, 1.5 km away.

After a busy day spent working or exploring, you can unwind with a work-out in the fitness area and enjoy free access to the sauna and jacuzzi.

Opened in 1995, the hotel A. Gaudi is housed in beautiful building built in 1917 that still conserves its ‘neo-plateresque’ façade and stained-glass windows.

Renovated in 2000, the interior of the hotel is decorated in a modern style using warm colours and contemporary wooden furniture.

The hotel drives to offer an extensive range of facilities, such as a bar, 6 conference rooms, a gym with sauna and Jacuzzi free of charge.

Food & beverage

The bar/cafeteria and 'La Pedrera' restaurant offer excellent international cuisine that includes Catalan food specialities. The ample restaurant is the ideal place to celebrate any type of social event. Private rooms can also be provided on request.

The rich buffet breakfast is served from 07:00-10:30.

La Pedrera opens for lunch from 13:30-15:45, and for dinner from 20:30-22:45. It offers both a daily set menu and an à la carte menu.

The bar opens from 10:30-23:45 hours. Its speciality is its delicious cocktails.

The hotel offers 185 comfortable and bright rooms, spread over 7 floors. All rooms are equipped with modern facilities and extra beds are available on request at an additional charge.

There are 5 suites equipped with all the comfort of a standard room with extra facilities.

Area information

The hotel A. Gaudi is located over Madid’s main avenue, "La Gran Vía madrileña", between the famous Puerta del Sol and La Plaza Cibeles. The Prado museum, the Thyssen Bornemisza or La Plaza Mayor are a 10 minute walk. Due to the exceptional location, its modern facilities and services, the hotel is a great choice for both business and leisure travellers.

Excellent location - within walking distance of pretty much everything you would want to see during a short stay in Madrid

Ubicación céntrica

Noviembre, costaba dormir junto a la ventana con el "vientecillo" frío que entraba por las juntas, oimos varios "ventanazos" por lo que parece era un problema común. Mobiliario bastante machacado. Calefacción y teléfono no funcionaban en la primera habitación que nos dieron, pero enseguida nos la cambiaron.
