The church with the murals up a steep hill and the puy de dome and the train ride but most of all the volcano,which became a quarry after the war and a wonderfully interesting place to visit on their electric train Films at end of trip similar to some in Futurescope. Don't miss this it's about 15 miles away and the interesting trip lasts about 150 minutes. 8year old children and above would certainly find it interesting and would be allowed to take a piece of a volcano back to school with them

This is an actual family owned and operated hotel. All in all the price/value for the accomodation, dinner and breakfast was excellent. Speaking of food, the coffee machine produced an excellent cup of strong, tasty euro-style coffee. (Not like back home) The description on line is exactly as it is in real life, great !

Restaurant attached to the hotel selling good healthy option food with local mineral water (well you are near Volvic). Chatel Guyon town just a short walk away with bars restaurants and also a casino.

Lovely big and bright room on the third floor with a sunny terrace with an expansive view. Receptionist was very welcoming. Hotel interior is quite old but excellent value for money.
