The shower head was at tub level. So there was no water on you as you soaped up and it was cold.
There was some blood on a « fresh » towel and desk clerk said: It happens.
On leaving very early in the morning we had to wake up the clerk to get out. Our key did not unlock the door.

Super friendly staff - the receptionist was very patient with my terrible French! The breakfast was excellent, probably the best we had on our entire trip to France. The music studio was a great surprise and it was so fun to relax and play some songs together. The entire hotel had interesting art and design that made for a unique experience.

It's really pleasant to live in the city.
It's really pleasant to live in the city. Rennes is not like Paris but there is everything you need to live and enjoy yourself. The center of the city is full of fun with beautiful old buildings and churches. You can also find modern facilities for your convenience. I loved the beautiful city of Rennes.

Only stayed 1 day - could perhaps have added a day. Rennes is very car un-friendly! Lots of cycle lanes, some quite narrow streets; lots of one-way streets that lead nowhere 9so you enter the one=way system and after a couple of minutes you end up back where you started - and there are no optional turns out of this system!
That said, once parked and on foot, very pleasant indeed.. We also had very nice weather - late-mid September.
Good restaurants - we ate at a creperie for lunch which was good and at an unpreposing restaurant for dinner which was very good,

The city had beautiful screet scape, shops and cafes and an amazing park all within walking distance. The local were friendly and prices generally in eating venues was reasonable. Rennes having a metro is an excellent asset allowing a lot of walking knowing you can double back by train if you plan your exploration direction to suit the metro stops. The staff at the metro station offered very helpful assistance without prompting helping to understand the ticketing system and ticket purchase process.

The old town is lovely, but for the oldies a bit tricky with the cobbles. The restaurants seem to be all in the centre - other eateries are pancakes, pizzas, and burgers - not exciting. It is a city for walkers - I am 94 and walking only short distances. My partner is a walker, so no problem. The people are extremely friendly, and it is a young city.
The hotel was located just nearby the Gare de Rennes. Less than 5mins walk. Hotel staff were all friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing as there were a lot of options to eat. The hotel also has an elevator, so we don't have to carry our bags up the stairs. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. We were in Rennes for 3 nights and the time we spent here was amazing cuz we had a good night sleep cuz of the comfortable beds. Definitely will stay here again if given the chance.
Marion the host made us feel welcome and at home and serves a lovely breakfast with lively conversation! Style and charm of the hotel was extraordinary - attention to detail with loads of character. We really enjoyed the access to the common space which was right outside our room (Marnie) with a living room area and access to the garden/terrace. If I stayed there again I’d try to get the same room again or the Oscar since it shares the same floor as the common space area.
Location excellent.Hotel spotlessly clean.Breakfast quite good in the main.Old town and other attractions in easy walking distance.Parking not a problem at all and was concerned somewhat about this before hand. Its free outside after 7.00pm and untill 9.00am following morning and all day Sundays.Other than that we put in local multi storey if we we were not travelling far that particular day.
This apartment is a lovely hangout; indeed, if you told me I'd have to live there for the rest of my life, I wouldn't object. Very clean and comfortable -- this apartment option is by far the way to go in France, compared to the overpriced two-star hotels. Wi-fi connection was excellent, and the location is super for explorations of Rennes. A top-notch option.
Absolutely beautiful house with warm, wonderful host Marie. Decor was gorgeous, both luxurious and personal. Great beds, linen bedding, nice products in the bathrooms. Marie served great breakfast and was extremely thoughtful about making restaurant recommendations both in Rennes and in nearby towns. Would love to stay here again and again and again.
Great location for visiting all Rennes sights. We were allocated a very spacious room which had kettle and coffee maker and mini bar with complimentary soft drinks. The hotel wasn’t busy; didn’t appear to be many other guests. There was a independent student’s bar below the hotel open until 1am which was noisy.
This hotel was really clean . The location is very good, it's just 1 minute to the station. That was interesting that I could sleep properly. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. If I need to book in this area I'll book this Hotel again.
Everything is perfect. On the day we arrived, the hair dryer was broken but the staff is very nice and the problem was solved efficiently.
I would recommend this hotel and I think I would still choose it if I would visit Rennes again.
We stayed at the Anne de Bretagne en route to the South West of France. We arrived late and left early, but we were warmly welcomed and the rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean and exactly what we were looking for.
Excellent Location in historic part of Rennes. Public parking was near-by (we arrived by car). It was a small studio apartment but much better than a small hotel room. It had a minimal kitchen (which we did not use).
This very centrally located hotel was excellent, spotlessly clean and comfortable, terrific beds and bathroom, and fairly spacious, with a good breakfast and helpful staff. Just opposite Dinan's medieval old town.
Safe enclave right next to the weekly market, restaurants, beautiful buildings. A café in the courtyard and a restaurant on the upper level. The hotel seem to appeal to hipsters on up to seniors.
Good location near old town, walking distance from the train station. Well organised great breakfast. Helpful and smiling personnel. Room clean, a bit tiny but stylish. Overall beautiful hotel.
Big room for France standards. Good breakfast. Cold Air Conditioning. Had a problem with someone smoking in an adjacent room and they kicked them out. Well done!
