Beautiful old city. Off season access to the standing stones was free but not as well documented as it could have been. Nice Museum of PreHistory and Alignments Center. The restaurant Pizzeria La Terrasse was delicious and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Also, Europcar in Auray near the train station was reasonably priced and our rental experience went very well. Very nice and friendly staff. Overall a wonderful experience.

We stayed in an apartment, there were 2 large supermarkets near by and local food shops e.g. boulangeries butchers and a fresh fish shop.
We could walk into Carnac Plage in a few minutes, loads of places to eat and drink.
Bike hire, including ebikes.
Lots of cycle lanes and paths to walk on.
Carnac stones about 5 mins drive away but you could walk or cycle there easily.
Very easy to drive along the coast and visit other places.
It was busier at the weekend which we expected.

An absolutely perfect blend of location and facilities for families and individuals of all ages. Great facilities in the town without being to cluttered/noisy. Great restaurants, markets, amazing beach, and very interesting historically. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely, relaxing holiday in France.

It is a Sailing Regatta venue which provides the holiday infrastructure for wives and friends who are attending but not competing. It often has good weather in the summer and this combined with the shops, restaurants, beaches and places of interest make it a social place to be.

No tours in English as advertised.
No tours in English as advertised. Had to see Neolithic stones from outside. Museum had some interesting artifacts but was not worth the trip and lousy hotel. All restaurants were closed as it was Monday.

Carnac is your typical French holiday resort but we stayed in the Churchill because it is nearer to Le Men Du which is beautiful, uncrowded, organic, and has a wonderful bar/restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
An excellent comfortable hotel, our room was large and bright with big windows from which we could see a distant sea. The staff are extra helpful with information about the area and excellent English. The location is perfect for visiting the main stone alignments and close to the town, but a few kilometres from Carnac Plage and the beach/sea. There are a few places to eat and shops in the town (as well as the Archaeological Museum) but many tourist facilities are down at Carnac Plage. All a matter of what you want close at hand.
Large room with small balcony, very modern design with a nice rain shower. A lot of space for storing things. Bed was very comfortable. And it was quiet, the hotel is in a residential area of the town.
The breakfast was really great and of course the restaurant as well, we can only recommend everyone to reserve at least one dinner there.
The hotel is in easy walking distance either to the town centre or to the beach area, where you'll find other restaurants.
Room was excellent. Balcony was very nice. Virginia on reception was superb and a real credit to the hotel. Eric was also very professional, polite and helpful. The room domestic lady was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and overall would recommend. There is no evening meal option in the hotel. Free car parking is readily available on the road outside the hotel. The hotel has a small internal parking (5 places ) at 12 euros per night.
The ACTUAL apartment was lovely with good location for a variety of interests, pool clean, apartment well appointed. Unclear about the bedding and towel arrangements, bring own not clear, beds not made up on arrival, sheets available in cupboards but a bit odd. If a family was staying it would have been a problem. Quiet, nice. My review is for Les Reflets de Carnac not the booking.com advertised address of Les Chausses de Pluviers
A family owned hotel with a long history and pedigree The recent renovation was tastefully done. It was nice to have secure parking inside the hotel's gate. Just a block and a half to the beach and a few minute walk into the heart of the business district, the hotel is a fine address for staying in Carnac and exploring the environs. The restaurant is quite good and has the potential for becoming a destination venue.
There was a lovely garden with good off street parking. The location was outside Carnac centre and we were surrounded by pretty countryside. It was a 5 minute drive in. We also walked in a few times. Good proximity to the megalithes, beaches, walking tracks and glorious coastline. The house was wonderfully spacious for our group. It was an ideal base for exploring the area, by car, bike, walking. We loved it.
The location is perfect. Nice and quiet.
Near the beach, the centre, the shops.
The flat is clean, you have every facilities, even a washing machine.
Parking available.
The bikes are more than useful we did enjoy them a lot. Thank you for the bikes, my girls couldn't stop riding them all around Carna.
Perfectly located for us. It was just a short walk to the pretty town of Carnac. A Bio shop and pharmacy are across the road from the apartment and a big supermarket is nearby. It was a few minutes drive to the main beach where there was good parking. We also walked to the beach in about half an hour.
The campsite is situated in a great location, surrounded by the Carnac stones. The caravan was fully equipped, we had all we needed. The terase was nice place to spend time on. While the toilet room was very small, the bathroom was larger then expected (for caravan).
Very near 2 wonderful beaches; Very well equipped flat; very nice garden; beds firm; good price for one week; everything was there from washing up liquid, washing powder, tea towels, kitchen roll etc. We didn't have to buy anything.
Despite the last minute reservation, we were able to stay at this wonderful hotel. Location is superb, right in front of the sea. Large, comfortable room. Good breakfast with excellent coffee. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Staff was friendly and kind. Room was spacious, with balcony overlooking garden, village, and sea in distance. Very good breakfast. Excellent location for walking access to town and museums. Public parking across the street.
Spacious and comfortable room, bathroom and terrace. Pretty view and lovely pool in the garden. Helpful and welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend Hotel Restaurant Spa du Tumulus for a relaxing stay.
view, location, cleanliness, staff and all. this is a lovely, well maintained seaside hotel. I can say this is the best hotel among a dozen of hotels we have lodged during our trip.
Great rooms with a pool to cool off when its hot. Very quiet location with large comfy rooms. Short drive to Carnac.
Home made crepes and yoghurt for breakfast.
