The Hotel du Commerce is a treasure. While it is clearly an older establishment, it has all the mod cons and is lovingly maintained.

We had the apartment on the town square, the view of which from the windows was quintessentially French. Annie's breakfast was generous, healthy, and a nice variety.

Had the entire property to ourselves. Like living in a French villa. Perfect location in a very small town.

Our host and hostess were hospitable, welcoming and attentive. They showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. They were a delight to meet and spend time with. Our apartment was impeccable, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed. Our hosts were able to direct us to eateries, supermarkets, and local sights in and around Mirepoix. The pool was perfect during the heatwave and the apartment was air conditioned. We would have loved to have been able to stay longer. We will definitely come back.

thought we would just use this as a base to tour the area, but when we got there, we stayed for 2 days and never left the central city. This town is adorable, very historic and has a great market and central square. I have to say we didn't venture out until we were leaving but had a wonderful time sitting around and just watching the world go by.

Brilliant little market town, with a fine cathedral, several weekly and special-occasion markets, excellent choice of family-friendly cafés and restaurants. The riverside paths offer shade and plenty of places to swim and cycle, and the 'voie verte' is excellent to the pretty nearby village of Camon. Don't miss the Monday morning market (c.8am-2pm).
An excellent base for exploring Ariège and the Midi-Pyrenées.

A truly stunning ancient town market square, well worth a visit. Stay the night before to have aperitifs and hors d‘oeuvres in the stunning ancient large market square. The charcuterie in the region is a speciality. Lovely duck salamis. Stay on a Sunday night and rise early for the famous and superb Monday market, the perfect place to buy local produce, vegetables, fresh apricots and peaches and salad along with local Pyrenean salami for our upcoming self catering accomodation in nearby Carcassonne which we were visiting to see the Bastille day exceptional firework display on 14 th July. The biggest display in France. Nice creperie and ice cream parlour as well as more traditional restaurants available in the old market square which was buzzing and a great photo opportunity. Make time to visit the Cathedral and admire the pretty stained glass windows. Ideal for escaping the buzz and cooling down.

lots of atmosphere around the market square. very central to other towns and scenery.we ate at a new cafe just around the corner from the hotel . very good value and excellent food. the town is easy to get in and out of. well sigh posted..
The property is a quintessential family-run French hotel located in the center of Mirepoix next to the Mirepoix Monday market and the church. It is dated but that is part of the charm. Breakfast is simple but adequatehowever the hotel restaurant served an exquisite dinner and the patio we dined in was delightful. The servers were efficient, friendly and accommodating. No doubt in my mind we selected a great place to stay to relish in French culture. It was easy to get to Carcassonne for an afternoon allowing us to return for dinner!

It has been a lucky choice to stay at the Clos des Oliviers. On our road trip through France we have been looking for chambres d’hôtes only, and here we found what we have been looking for. Splendid rooms in an ancient town house, very close to Mirepoix’s historic town centre (a 2 minutes walk), but the location very quiet, and excellent dinner and breakfast served on either the terrace or in the restaurant’s rooms. Service has been very professional, and yet got that personal and trustful touch that we both enjoy.
This is a really traditional hotel in a great location, just off Mirepoix's amazing medieval square. My double room was small, as is typical in France, but had a good sized en-suite bathroom, a tv with a range of French channels and decent wifi. It also had air conditioning which was a blessing in the current heatwave. The hotel's restaurant seems very popular and they offer a large courtyard dining area as well as indoor space. Hotel le Commerce is family-run, and the doors are locked at 11pm.
The hotel is fantastic! Right up front it’s a bit hard to find. Park your car at the church, cross the square and it’s about half way up. Bernard, the owner spoke perfect English and took us to the parking garage. Lovely room with view of church and square definitely upgrade if possible. We were there for the famous Monday market. That morning we woke up to the square etc full of 100 stalls, didn’t hear any of the work it must have taken to set them up. Would recommend!!
This place is the greatest!!! The location is perfect, about a 5 minute 2 block walk into the center of Mirepoix. The hotel is quite small but so clean and nice. The hostess didn't speak any English and we speak no French, but communication was not a problem. Loved the pool and hammam! We had been traveling for a week, so decided to just relax and enjoy this beautiful town and hotel. I will be back if ever in the area again.
Everything. The setting is beautiful. The apartment was airy spotlessly clean and had modern kitchen facilities .
The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Lovely grounds and a wonderful private area with swimming pool and jacuzzi. Only one mile from the lovely Medieval town of Mirepoix which has wonderful character and some excellent restaurants. The hosts Alex and Annemone are the most lovely people.
Super room on the top floor with a lovely little terrace. Breakfast was great, typically French continental and the staff all very friendly. Having access to the car garage was an extra bonus as well. Arrived in Mirepoix on market day - another bonus! Other than that, although it is very pretty indeed Mirepoix is a fairly small place. However, all in all, a great find!
Hostess Annie was great. The original location was full. She provided a very nice alternative at Mirepoix's main square. By the way Annie, we found our lost portable fridge, it was left in the apartment kitchen...
Large bedroom with excellent bathroom. Centrally located with convenient free parking. Good restaurant to eat in the evening. Easy walk to the central and lively square in Mirepoix.
Great little apartment for a short stay in Mirepoix. Owner was friendly. And the space was really well thought out and had all the facilities you need for an overnight stay.
Lovely stay in Mirepoix. The location is perfect. Spacious outdoor terrace and the house is very well appointed with everything we needed. Thank you for your hospitality.
