The Chamberlain offers a warm, friendly atmosphere with all the modern comforts you expect from a premiere 4 star hotel. The Chamberlain's restaurant and pub-style bar have a formidable reputation for fine dining and superior ale.

The Chamberlain Hotel is your 'home away from home' in the centre of London. It is conveniently situated just North of Tower Bridge and is a short stroll to many of London's world-famous tourist hot spots. Being located within the City district provides convenient access to the central business district for our business clientele.

The Traditional British and European menu is broad to tantalize your taste buds, and our wait staff are on hand to ensure prompt and friendly service. During lunch and in the evenings the restaurant is a more formal alternative to the relaxed surroundings of the bar.

Global comfort

Service was really poor due to young and unexperienced people. We had to wait 1h15 in the afternoon(3:15 to 4:30) to get our room. At the restaurant, one hour after ordering we were not able to get even the starter dish or a piece of bread. Problems at all the tables were seen.

I stayed at the hotel and was disappointed to wake up and find there was no hot water resulting in a very cold shower. It was not the staff's fault but they did not raise the issue with me when I checked out, nor did they offer an apology until I mentioned it. They knew about the problem but did not provide an explanation.

A genuine British atmosphere with fantastic pictures on the walls. We also enjoyed the bathroom-TV which was new to us. We stayed over a weekend and as the hotel is situated within the City the streets were empty and the surroundings very quite. Excellent location with the Tower, Aldgate tube station and buses just around the corner.

No restaurants are opened in the neighbourhood during the weekend when the business people are off...

The food was nice, hotel room was spotless and generally the hotel was clean. In a good central location. They didn't deliver breakfast to the room one morning.

The breakfast times were crazy, breakfast on weekdays stopped at 10am, on weekends it stopped at 11. The bar closed early as well. Generally I would not recommend the hotel for young people.
