This attractive Georgian property offers affordable hotel accommodation with a prime city centre location, at the top of the famous O'Connell Street.

Situated in the heart of Dublin, we offer easy access to all of the city's main attractions, and are located on the official cultural trail. Hotel St. George is within walking distance of the Abbey and Gate theatres, the Municipal Art Gallery, Dublin's Writers Museum, the James Joyce Cultural Centre.

Thoughtfully designed with our corporate and leisure guests in mind, all of our bedrooms are the essence of space, comfort and convenience. Here, you will find open fires and crystal chandeliers, where Georgian luxury mixes with home comforts. Features include a period staircase and guest lounge furnished with original plasterwork, magnificent antique mirrors and beautiful marble fireplaces. Relax in our bar which overlooks the Garden of Remembrance.

Ellie, the woman who works at reception was wonderful! She helped us plan out our entire trip while we were in Ireland! She was so nice and helpful!

The staff on reception were very helpful. I liked the cosy atmosphere of the hotel, better than the big impersonal hotels. I thought in a city it might have been noisy but I found it easy to sleep because it was quiet at night. I liked the central position of the hotel : I was able to walk to everything I wanted to see.

Just a small point, but I would have thought that they could have left some biscuits with the tea and coffe in the rooms.

Location, internet availability

The room heater was laid off during the first night. I was feeling cold. On the second night it was heating like crazy without any control. It was too hot. Hot and cold water taps are separate in the wash basin without any mixing facility. The shower temperature control was never steady. The room is tiny for the price.

Location was what we wanted at a lower price than where we stayed last year at the Gresham. Having breakfast included was a real plus.
