We originally booked Locanda Gaffaro but ended up staying in Malcanton (same building and affiliated). Our room was lovely and large, as was the bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom facilities very good. Staff were really friendly, Breakfast was delicious (homemade cake) and location was very central - 15 minutes to train station and 15 minutes to tourist attractions. Would 100% stay again or recommend.

Locanda Gaffaro is set in a quiet area of Venice, close to Santa Lucia Station and the airport bus terminal. You can enjoy breakfast out on the grounds. The guest rooms are clean and comfortable and are decorated in a typical style of Venice from the 19th century. The TVs have 60 satellite channels. The Gaffaro Locanda is a 5-minute walk from the Basilica dei Frari and has great water bus connections to Saint Mark's Square.
Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 9.5 for a two-person trip.
