Rome, one of the most wonderful cities in the world.
Rome, one of the most wonderful cities in the world. Wherever you'll go you'll find history. People are kind, just one advice: don't be in hurry, take your time, and don't complain for some delay or inconvenience (like a bus that doesn't show up ...)

Rome is full of wonderful things to see.
Rome is full of wonderful things to see. However, it is very crowded and some sites are overwhelmed by tourists. Go to see the frescoes upstairs at the Museo Massimo near Termini. There is no metro in the city centre and the buses are erratic so be prepared for a lot of walking.

Great city with lots of sightseeings.
Great city with lots of sightseeings. I would recommend 4 days for this city. Make sure book your hotel in centre to easy access and book some of the activities with the skip the line option as the queues gets crazy.

Rome is a beautiful city and the buildings are incredible as well as the pretty streets. The food is absolutely amazing and no need to book restaurants as there are so many to choose from and very fast service. So many gelato stops. The Italian people were all welcoming and friendly.
It is a lot of walking so definitely wear comfy shoes. We did not use public transport as we had a pretty good hotel location near the Colosseum. The Vatican City was a 50 minute walk from our room but we stopped for lunch on the way which made it easier. 100% do the Vatican Museum tour.
However, the haggler men that try to sell you stuff on the streets are really intimidating. We were sworn at, called racists, spat at and followed. It is an unsafe city so definitely make sure you have your wits about you.
I would definitely pay a visit if you have not before. However, I do not think we will be visiting again anytime soon now that we ticked off all the tourist sites and due to the overwhelming amount of hagglers.

We spent three complete and two half days in Rome, which was about right. We used skip the line tickets at the Colosseum and Vatican Museum, which are well worth the money as queues to get in were very long indeed.

Always negotiate with street sellers
We stayed at this hotel on the first night arriving in Italy and also our last night. There is a BIG difference in the quality of the two rooms. This particular room was very up to date. BEAUTIFUL! I wished we had gotten this room on our first night! Great location, easy walk from train station! We tried gelato at least 15 times in our 2 week Europe trip, and the Gelato directly across the street from the hotel is the WINNER for the BEST gelato!!! I recommend the amaretto cherries one with the brittle. WOW!!
I usually don’t put reviews on booing.com, but this apartment deserve an exception.
The apartment in very good location, where you feel like you’re living in the town, and everything is close. Also, the house has that Italian touch where it has a nice garden with a beautiful and wide living room and nice arts on the wall.
Finally, an advise to anyone going Rome, if you want to live the full Italy experience stay in this apartment as it was the best part in our holiday.
Big thanks for the friendly owner.
The location is excellent but unlike many 5 star hotels the staff were fantastic - not at all pretentious or pompous but extremely helpful, polite and very down to earth.
We are lucky to have experienced many 5 star hotels around the globe but this is one of the best with great facilities, lovely spa staff and an excellent location too!
The bar has an extraordinary manager who spoke super English and was extremely hospitable!
We regularly travel to Italy and we will definitely stay here again!
If you travel by train, it is convenient, a bit far from classic tourist monuments, if you have good energy to walk, is not a problem. We walked to go and uber to come back. The area looks scary, a bit too dirty, but you have a lot of tourists going by. We stayed in the hotel when we got to italy and when we left, one night each time. I don't think I would stay in this hotel to really visit rome for several days. For a night is more than ok, next to the train station, the staff is very nice!
This hotel was my best stay in Italy. It was close to two metro lines and also to the Colosseum (you can literally go walking). The staff was very helpful, my room was large enough for me (individual traveller), every day when I returned the room was made up, everything was clean and they have elevators in case you don't want to use the stairs. The breakfast was simple but very good and I enjoyed very much to eat it every day. I do strongly recommend the hotel if you ever visit Rome.
This is definitely a rare find! The staff treated us like we were kings and queens and the bed was extra comfortable and the best part of our stay was the breakfast! In all of my trips to Italy, I have never eaten italian cornetti (croissant) that were that good! I’m always traveling for work and it is the first time that I can say that a hotel is definitely cheaper than what they should actually charge! I really recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Rome!
Quiet, traditional hotel close to the colosseum, great staff, amazing breakfast, Francesca is amazing in proving help and replying to all questions. I am a frequent visitor to Rome for many years (twice a year), and usually stay at Trastevere or Campo dei Fiori, this time for new years I decided to stay at Lancelot, also because I am a travel designer specialist in Italy, and I am always testing new hotels for my clients. Lancelot will be in my list of hotels.
The location was perfect for me. It's my favorite part of Rome and the hotel is so convenient and easily accessible.. The staff were all friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was excellent and I loved being able to have a cappucino made for me (rather than out of a machine like many other "included" breakfasts I've had in italy). Having a kettle in the room was a nice surprise as well. This will be my 'go to" hotel in Rome from now on!
Staff was extremely accommodating. We arrived early in Italy and our tour was going to start before we could check in. The hotel stored our bags and also gave us space to change and freshen up. It was centrally located to everything we were planning on seeing. They also arranged for a car service to pick us up at the airport and also for our return flight. We paid for this service, @60 euros, it was worth it!
Me and my son stayed here for 3 days to stay. The staff was great and so friendly! They changed our bed and folded the sheets everyday. The bathroom and the bedroom was very clean. After we traveled to London, UK 🇬🇧 they kept our baggage’s for no extra charge! They are very caring about their customers. We will definitely come back! If you are going to Rome, Italy. I would highly recommend this hotel.
This is a very nice hotel in Rome. The location is close to the Metro and not far from Termini Station. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. It’s on a side street so it’s very quiet. There is an excellent restaurant across the street and a few more close by. The best food in the world is in Italy. We highly recommend this hotel.
Very cool and stylisch hangout in Rome. Very nice and modern rooms. The pool is integrated in the garden and just refreshing.
Any drinks will be served at the pool. If you intend to come with a car you can park it just in front of your room.
The hotel is located next to the circus Maximus and 700 m from the colosseum.
It is already one of our favorite hotels in Italy
Friendly and helpful reception staff. Surprising fluffy and tasty croissants (for Italy) during breakfast. The location was very good, just across the US embassy and many 5* hotels - fairly easy to reach, away from the tourist noise but still reasonable distance to all key areas in Rome. Much appreciated that they could book us a hire car to take us to the airport.
Flawless location right in the heart of Rome with all the main sites essentially equidistant from the hotel. The room was very quiet for being in such a lively area as well which was great. Very comfortable bed as well which was a great bonus since the other stays we had in Italy tended to have much firmer / uncomfortable beds.
The staff at this hotel were SO friendly and accommodating! We didn't meet a single person that wasn't a delight! The room was clean and the most comfortable bed we had in Italy. We loved the location and it was a greta value! I found this hotel on a travel group, and it did not disappoint.
Both receptionists, Amin and a blonde lady (forgot her name). They are so helpful. They answered my questions politely if I wanted to get any info for traveling in Rome and Italy in general. Keep it up! 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Mr Amin can consider to be promoted..Best hotel ever! Thank you
Fabulous hotel in great position in Rome. The most comfortable beds in Italy. No I am not kidding!! Great roof top bar/ breakfast area. Fabulous breakfast. What else, great shower too and product!! What more could you ask for. It's a perfect holiday right here!!
Beautiful boutique hotel right in the centre of Rome. Excellent modern facilities, well appointed rooms and large bathrooms which is a rarity in Italy! Excellent location for sightseeing and also a shopping destination too. I highly recommend the hotel.
Clean and safe neighbourhood, a lot of restaurants Around, close to The metro station.
Hotel staff was Very nice and helpful.
Recomended for this value of money!
Best hotel we have stayed in Our etire stay in Italy.
Very clean, friendly staff, relatively comfortable bed at this price point for Italy. Had AC and some extra blankets. Staff was super helpful navigating transit to and from Rome.
