Foligno is a pleasant little town - not a lot to see but...
Foligno is a pleasant little town - not a lot to see but lots of eating and drinking options, a few shops, an attractive central piazza (although the cathedral has been closed for years), a nice park with loads of seats, a cafe and an excellent playground for children. There's even a river if you look hard enough. However we stayed there primarily for the rail access to nearby places like Assisi and Perugia.

Fogliono to me is a very practical town with good access either by road or rail. For the final part of our hike along the via del Francesco, it was ideal. we also discovered there are many really good restaurants, shops, places to visit. The staff in the tourist office are extremely helpful.

Welcome to the family in the agriturismo! High on the hills above Foligno, between the olive trees, you have a peaceful stay and a beautiful view of the Umbrian Valley. In the centre of Umbria you can go quickly in every direction. Every day papa cleans the nice pool and mama Marisa makes a tastefull breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, a lot of cakes and pies and fresh coffee. Nice, clean and spacious rooms with a good, large bed. Airconditioning, which is being installed this week, makes it perfect. In the evening you may have dinner, made from the heart by Marisa and the family. Service for the walkers, help for any need. Thank you for the nice holiday we may have spent here, Marisa, Serena, Simone, Albaro and the family !

The owner Catia is very hospitable and friendly, she will try to help you solve your problems. If I need to stay in Foligno again I will definitely come back here

We enjoyed the regional and fresh food. Foligno is a great transport knot to discover Umbria by train. We arrived here without a car and were not afraid of the 40 minute walk to the center of the city. Sometimes they drove us to the station, we were very grateful for that! Such heaven of a place for all the earth angels longing for peace and beauty.
