The only reason we stayed in Chitose was to take the bus up to Lake Shikotsuko. We didn't do any hiking, so a half day was plenty for this part. There aren't many dining options in Chitose if you are on foot (we traveled by train), and very little in the way of other attractions in town. It seems to be mainly a convenient place to stay after you fly in from the nearby airport.ScottJapan - 6.0Scored 6.0

It is inconvenient to check in, the heating is not warm enough, it is difficult for us to fall asleep at night. There is no restaurant nearby, and the transportation is inconvenient. I will not make a reservation next time.

We had to travel to Chitose as we needed to fly out from New Chitose Airport. Nonetheless, we decided to stay here for 2 days to visit Lake Shikotsu & the airport for it offers many attractions. We really enjoyed the lake (very scenic!) and the airport - Royce Choc Factory, Doraemon Waku Waku Skypark etc. We got around Chitose in a rental car and the free shuttle the hotel provided. There were also plenty of souvenirs available at the airport for some last minute shopping.

Very close to airport, as well as several ski stations. it is cheaper than Sapporo city, and even if it does not have as many restaurants and places to visit as a big city may have, there are plenty of restaurants, parks and duty free malls and is very quiet place.ENEKOThailand

The room we booked were a little pricy but it was worth the money. The beds were very comfortable, aircon was stable, and sound control was done very nicely. From the window, we could see the airplanes/fighter jets taking off and landing, which added to the excitements during the stay. We also enjoyed the hot spring bath. It was within the airport terminal building so shops were easily accessible without having to go out to the winter cold!

The room is prepared exremely clean and tidy. There are no businesses around the place so you need a car to go grocery shopping or go have a quick bite to eat, which isn't a negative part if all you want is to rest in a comfortable room and be ready for an early flight in the next morning! The place is only a 10min drive to Chitose Airport. Family junior room was a perfect size for my family of four (2&5 y/o).

We arrived by train from Sapporo to Chitose JR station and hotel reimbursed the cab fare of 780 Y. The hotel has a public bath and restaurants nearby are ok. The room had a sofa corner and was spacious enough to open two suitcases. The laundry room was big, with separate washers and dryers which was helpful. Some of the staff spoke English.
