The guest house was easy to find, within walking distance of the town centre, and there was plenty of parking space. We received a warm welcome from our hosts and the room was well appointed, offering everything we needed.

The place is very museum-like, little treasures everywhere. It smells very nice on the hallway. The whole place is sparkling clean and the staff very nice. Also location is very close to train station and 15 min walk to town center. We had breakfast booked, and menu was very diverse (could choose from a menu of irish breakfast, french toast, eggs, porrodge etc), the kitchen staff more than nice and acomodating.

Dundalk in County Louth, the wee county, provided an incredible outpouring of creativity to celebrate Brigid1500. The Northern Lights Light Show in Market Square, the murals and storefronts painted with signs of Spring and Brigid, the cultural production at An Tain Theatre and the County Museum.
We were there for 4 days and we made the Proper Cafe "our cafe". The staff were very welcoming and remembered us and the food was great!
We also took a bus to Carlingford and enjoyed a short hike and great views of Carlingford Lough. Also, the home of Thomas Darcy McGee, and Father of Canadian Confederation.

At St.
At St. Patrics Day there were no free hotel in good price in Dublin. This choice for accomodation was the best choice, only 1 hour from Dublin by train, and found a very nice pansion with polite people.

The Imperial Hotel is a lovely comfortable hotel with very friendly helpful staff. The location of the hotel is very central and the town centre and shopping are just a short stroll from the door. My husband enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the races in Ireland's only all weather racecourse, just a short Taxi ride away, while I browsed and shopped in the nearby Shopping Centre. We dined in the hotel, where the food was excellent. We had a lovely restful two day break, and we plan to return there in the future.

People were very friendly, a lot of greetings while out walking the street on a wet morning, likewise staff in shops all very welcoming, the town could do more to promote it's history and some beautiful surroundings within close proximity, unfortunately there are a lot of derelict or dilapidated buildings around the town. The town also could do with a better range of dining experiences The Spotted Dog was excellent but a few more restaurants at that end of the market would be very welcome.

Dundalk has lots of potential.
Dundalk has lots of potential. Nicely laid out town and looking very well Unfortunately the people of Dundalk don't know the meaning of good customer service, very cold and unwelcoming. We didn't meet a single friendly face in the bars or resteraunts, customer service was NIL!

We stayed at the Carrickdale Hotel.
We stayed at the Carrickdale Hotel. We drove to Newry and did some shopping. Then we went to stunning Carlingford for lunch and more shopping! Back to Blackrock in Dundalk for fish and chips from Roma on the promenade and ice cream at storm in a teacup. Dundalk has beautiful scenic drives and greenway walks and we loved exploring around it.
Good hotel- my home town- it’s the town home town hotel - I remember it before it got done up 20 odd years ago - it’s still the towns home town hotel -
It’s nice it’s clean it’s warm the staff are nice and helpful
The foods good - the breakfast is good the location is good - like most hotels in Ireland it’s marked as a 4 star but it’s not it’s a good 3 start like 90% of hotels in Ireland- in the U.K. it would be a very very good premier inn . This is not the hotel it’s the Irish government and using the price with tax
After doing a lot of hotel breaks we decided on a self catering cottage. An Bothan cottage sounded ideal for what we were looking for - it didn't disappoint!! A gorgeous quaint wee cottage that had modern bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Catriona the owner had even left us freshly baked wheaten bread and marmalade which was a lovely treat. We adored staying here and will definitely be returning soon.
I stayed at the Glen Gat House in 2018 and was excited to go back this week. One of the best bed and breakfasts I've ever stayed at. It's a charming spacious house with good sized rooms, extremely clean, comfortable and a staff that is both friendly and welcoming. And a wonderful full Irish breakfast included in the beautiful dining room. Highly recommended to anyone traveling in the area!
This spot provided the perfect stay for us on our first couple nights in Ireland. It was incredibly cozy, well-kept, fantastic location to venture into smaller towns during the day/evening while having a nice and quiet respite for the night. Walking up to the sunrise and sheep sounds was the perfect idyllic Irish experience.
Very clean, very helpful owner, breakfast was great. The large room was for 3 or 4 people so perfect for our needs, separated by a chimney so almost 2 areas, perfect for families. Ensuite. Very close to university, city centre and blackrock. Great parking, good wifi. Clear signs really helpful to know where to turn.
The B&B its at walking distance from town centre. It had a shopping centre in front and also a Mcdonalds and some pubs around the area. The room was nice, huge bed and very comfortable, was also very clean. We visited family so was also walking distance to our relations house. Very Nice stay!
Lovely hotel, rooms were clean, comfortable, had great air conditioning which is a must in any hotel, staff were really helpful and friendly especially the check in staff, the ood was fantastic, beautiful outdoor dining area, great location only minutes away from shops etc.
really nice property lovely room and friendly staff ; close to the town centre only 100 yds from The Windsor Bar where Joe Biden popped in for a drink last month- pop in and see for yourself!🤪
Perfect location in the town centre. Large, bright, spacious loft space, open plan design. Clean and comfortable. Excellent communication with the host regarding parking and heating.
I stayed here actually to attend the RebelFest that was taking place on Sunday, the 5th of February. But, I must say, it was a lovely place and I would stay again if in the area.
> Secret Garden is beautiful.
> Great location from which to visit the Carlingford Lough area, just outside Nery and Dundalk down the road. Nice part of the world!
Had a wedding not far so didnt spend alot of time in the hotel but got checked in early to leave our bags. Car park on site and room very clean and comfortable.
Beautiful place. Exceptional staff. Comfortable room. Fairly well located for walking into downtown Dundalk. Convenient petrol station store across the street.
