We liked that the local parking we used for the van was even accessible for campers. The community was really friendly, lots of people with dogs going about their day. The local Booths was a great place to get meals. We liked the kitchen so much that we didn’t go out for food locally but both pubs in the area looked quality! The roads there are small but manageable and that’s the feeling you want from a place like that anyway. I like that ours close enough for a day out around Malham. The crag walk at the top of the village also suffices for a viewpoint.

Great little town with good amenities.
Great little town with good amenities. Lot of great walks nearby. The Talbot pub good atmosphere and food, the Old naked man cafe and shop is good but have a look down the backstreets for small local independents. A walk along the river and into nearby Giggleswick is worth a visit, find Russel Harty's grave in Giggleswick church yard and have a pint in the Black Horse next door

Settle is a lovely and friendly market town.
Settle is a lovely and friendly market town. There are lots of great places to eat - the sit-in fish and chip shop was wonderful and Sunday lunch at the Golden Lion was great value. There are walks, of all ability levels, from the town and the Victoria Hall offers great live entertainment. There are some nice independent shops, great local butcher, as well as a couple of good supermarkets. All in all, a great place to visit.

There are lots of shops, except charity ones, just Age Concern and Swimming Baths ones. Plenty cafes, pubs, good chippy {Fisherman} but locals are not friendly. Dislike tourists? Come from Clitheroe and locals TALK to them. Not here.
Great value for money, superb, it's an old building so don't expect the ritz, all the facilities were spotless, (the towels were fantastic) the staff are amazing particularly Matty who never seems to stop, nothing is to much trouble and breakfast is great as are the evening meals and very reasonably priced, Settle is a lovely village with some great pubs and restaurants, would like to say it is so nice that dogs are genuinely welcome not just at the Royal Oak but everywhere, really enjoyed our stay....Thank you....
Lovely cosy house. Everything we needed and more. Space for the two of us (two good friends) who had come to the area for the three peaks. Quiet neighbourhood and parking available too. The house was just a few strides away from a local footpath along the river into Settle and had a small back garden with views of the riverside and (when the leaves drop from the trees) the fells. The host was really lovely and made contact with lots of information.
Lovely quiet location tucked away from the road with gorgeous view of Penyghent and hills from bedroom. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Large living room and dining area. Well equipped kitchen. Close to station if travelling by train. Friendly owner lives next door if you need anything. Horton is a picturesque village where many people start the 3 peaks but we went to Chapel le Dale which was an easy journey.
This is a self-catering style holiday rental. A riverside location on the edge of Settle, it is a pleasant and convenient location. The town centre is a short walk away, and there is an immediately-adjacent route to the Ribbleside pathway and, from there, into the Dales. The apartment has two adequate double bedrooms, wardrobe space and a well-equipped kitchen with a comfortable sitting/TV area.
we liked everything food was excellent dog very welcome room love ly. superb shower lots of walks from the hotel dog loved paddling i n the river just across the road from the hotel andalthough very close to the a65 room was very quiet we are definately going back many places to v isit nearb y ideal base for settle 3 peaks etc plenty of parking in the hotel grounds wifi brilliant
Great location if wanting to explore surrounding areas, with amenities nearby. Apartment was lovely, modern but with a cosy feel and had eveything you need. Much bigger than we had expected and would certainly stay here again.
I had to get in touch with hosts who answered straight away and helpful. Great apartment, thank you.
The building itself is very attractive. The pub area is also cozy and clean. The staff were professional and polite. They placed us in a larger room since we were staying for bit. Provided extra drinking glasses upon request. The walking trail through the pasture near the property was a wonderful find.
Dinner (not included) and breakfast (included) were both excellent, with a good selection of beer at the bar. The manager (Michelle) and all staff were very friendly and helpful, steering us to the Settle Social Club where we could watch a football match we were interested in.
Warm and cozy B&B. The hosts, Jackie and Chris were so lovely and helpful. Perfect breakfast! They have a lot of choices that you can choose from. My room was very clean and comfortable. Great location for walking around Settle. Private car park. Highly recommended!!!
Beautiful country hotel above a pub. Enjoyed the extras laid for guests. Friendly approachable staff. Delicious breakfast. Excellent location for walks in Settle, Gigglewick and Ingleton Falls Trail. I would recommend it.

Lovely welcoming hotel, owners couldn’t do enough for us, dog welcome everywhere. Food great, good atmosphere in bar. Perfect base for exploring, Malham, three peaks, 20 minute drive. 10 minute walk into Settle
It's a quaint and cozy pub/hotel that makes you wish you were English and not American! Enjoyed my comfy room a lot, location was convenient and right next to the river. The dinner was excellent!
Great location for doing the 3 peaks, hotel staff lovely and helpful, let us put sandwiches in the fridge and left breakfast out for us in the morning. Great shower and white company toiletries!
