Nice staff who were helpful/efficient with check in, leaving bags at the hotel, giving suggestions. Breakfast was ample and delicious (had great salmon for breakfast, wish I had tried their typical Finnish Karjalanpiirakka, etc). The room was a bit small but for one person it was perfect. It was quiet and very clean. Central location--only 10 min walk from the central station which will take you to/from the airport in 45-50 min.

I know I have marked down the staff. There is a reason. However, that being said, the young Lady on the reception desk upon arrival I would say is quite new to the job, and despite having some issues with my London / Essex accent (English people don't laugh please!) did very well. Compliments where due. My father and I came back to this hotel simply because for Helsinki, the rooms are functional, tidy and at an excellent price point. We had stayed here back in 2019, so know the place.

Scratch beneath the small-town surface of Helsinki and you will find a cosmopolitan metropolis buzzing with a lively attitude and plenty of excitement. The relatively short-lived summer offers the best chance to appreciate the outdoors and sit on one of the popular café terraces, or even hit the Hietaniemi Beach, all of which can be enjoyed during the 20 hours of daylight.
Strolling around the streets of Helsinki will reveal an Empire-style of architecture, comparable to St. Petersburg. The greatest example of this is the green-domed Lutheran Cathedral which rises proudly out of the center of Senate Square.
From here the main shopping street of Aleksanterinkatu, affectionately known as Aleksi, runs towards Mannerheimintie and contains the largest department store in Scandanavia, called Stockmann. The up-market boulevard of Esplanadi runs alongside and is packed with exclusive boutiques.
Lovers of Nordic design will be thrilled by the Design Museum and the Ateneum Art Museum. Nature is in abundance on the beautiful archipelago which lies along the coast. A must-see is the Baltic fortress of Suomenlinna, where you just might forget you’re in a big city.

I loved Helsinki. As a lone tourist, I found it very safe.
I loved Helsinki. As a lone tourist, I found it very safe. Getting round was so easy with the public transport. I found it easier to get Finnish food at the markets, there was a range of restaurants, but many were foreign. Suomenlinna was so worth the visit. I got a 24 hour ABC ticket from the Airport and this covered my travel to the city by train, ferry to Suomenlinna the next day and various journeys on trams and metro for 24 hours. Brilliant value. Also pensioner rates are good.

We loved the library and the Music Centre and a wonderful coffee place called 'Roberts coffee' in the centre.
It felt very safe and had interesting buildings to walk around.
For me it was so bitterly cold and snowed twice - in April - and although I like snow I didn't enjoy the ice the following days. I need to travel to somewhere warm!
Food - OK; expensive.

Nice town, with great public transport. Many trip options.
Nice town, with great public transport. Many trip options. Fantastic idea of a library open to anyone, combing a cafe, reading room, games room together - you can get in for free and stay a long long, have coffe, read or play games. An option to by by ferry for a day to Tallin. A great museum on Suomelina island and a great day out, fantastic saunas, good food in the Market Hall.

Nice city. It's a place to live and not to visit.
Nice city. It's a place to live and not to visit. In rapport to southern European cities it doesn't have much to offer, so, no museums, any spectacular city sight, but in the end is an enjoyable place.

It's very central and close to the sea that was great.
It's very central and close to the sea that was great. The room was tidy and neat but not very cosy and a bit cold (heating restricted). Breakfast was not good much below standard hotel breakfast.
Yes, is the cheapest but is a bit out of the city center, 40/50 min walking.
Rooms are good for being that big and also clean as all the rest, toilets and kitchens (there are on each floor). The staff doesn't take much effort, never out of their box. At the check-in they don't give you info about the city or even where the toilets are. Just make you sign in and give the key. I understand to give a tour is a bit too much for a big hostel but at least some basic info about how to move around such a big hostel!
Hotel is located in the city center, so it's in a walking distance from shopping locations. Also the location is very quiet.
Hotel has very nice Scandinavian design, which we liked a lot. Rooms a well sized, bed is comfortable, sound insulation was very good, and bathroom was well designed as well. Breakfast was also good, and hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
For me, personally, 10 out of 10 for this class/price of hotels. Just book it :)
The location was the best possible - right in the middle of the city center. What was really exceptional was how quiet it was at the same time. I cannot remember if I have ever staid at such a quiet hotel - there were no traffic noises whatever during the night. We also appreciated the space; it really was an apartment, not just a room. And really great value for the price.
The perfect place for a family staycation with two teenagers. We stayed in a Master Builder Suite, which very comfortably fit four. A new hotel, located in the city center, close to the Central Railway Station, metro, buses and trams. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and major sights. Great beds and very quiet. Loved the decor and the breakfast. Highly recommend!
Perfect location! Small boutique hotel with helpful and pleasant host. We were able to drop our bags before check-in and explore Helsinki with the extra load. Our family enjoyed the deluxe room. It was clean and just what we needed. We were happy to have saved the extra $ staying here. We did have to share the bathrooms, but for one night it wasn’t an issue for us.
Beautiful facilities. Amazing breakfast buffet full of local flavors. Price for value was exceptional. Location is only a short and convenient bus ride (many bus stops near hotel) to the city center. Staff allowed to hold bags for free on locked room while I split my stay and traveled elsewhere while in Finland.
10km or so from city center but only a 10-min walk to the metro station mean saving a bunch on hotel cost but still a convenient location! A supermarket and a few restaurants congregate around the metro station. Clean, modern and fairly well equipped apt.
Only the location - near to Hanken and I had some business there so that's why I booked this hotel as well. Just 3-4 mins of walk. It's also near to city center and port. Also, the flexible timing for having a breakfast bag for eating for fast.
Kitchen has everything you need to prepare almost any dish. Also there is a dishwasher. Shower, bed... Everything was great. Recommend
You can easily get to Helsinki City center by bus or train. Bus stop or train station is near the hotel.
The studio is very comfortable - nice bed, fully equipped kitchen, a lot of storage space. The hotel has a sauna which is great but check the opening hours. The hotel is not exactly in the city center but 15 min from it, so no big deal.
The proximity to down town and railway station. Parking underneath the hotel with 36€per day is not cheap but considered to the other choices outside the hotel it's good. Personnel are very polite and willing to help.
The location of the hotel is in a mainly office area. If you are plannign to go to Estonia, is very near the harbour and ferries that go to Tallinn, it's walking distance, but it's far from the city center.
The location was very good. Near are metro, bus station/tram (good for going to city center or airport etc.
The hotel was clean. the bed was comfy. we had great view though window.
Very good breakfast, reasonable rooms with a sea/port view, friendly staff, facilities in the hotel were as expected (sauna, gym), tram to the city center in front of the hotel.
Hotel is 20 min away from city center by walk. Room is quite old fashion. There was no slipper in the room, you have to pay for that, that was strange for me.
