Almost like being in your own home with all of amenities. Owner extremely gracious and accommodating. Up on a hill with a great view. Private parking a huge plus. Better than most hotels and B&Bs I've stayed in.

Overall, the region was beautiful and there are many lovely towns to visit and much history in the area. Sarlat has a recently updated town square that is quite beautiful. Getting around the town itself is typical of a small French town. Walking is best! I was underwhelmed with the restaurants and the shops. Some areas of the town feel rundown.

It’s such a beautiful city and it has wonderful things to explore within the walls. The whole region around Sarlat is beautiful. Sarlat is the perfect place to rest after a long day exploring other small towns or caves in this gorgeous region. We could have spent two weeks here easily. Take full advantage of the markets on Wednesday and Saturday in Sarlat to get amazing food, and of course, eat at a restaurant and enjoy some amazing wine.

Charming old town, narrow streets, lots of shops, many, many selling local produce, foie gras, etc. Centrally located to visit the highlights of the Dordogne. Many places to dine, seemingly pretty much the same menus everywhere except in a couple of higher end restaurants. It is hilly. Parking very hard, everywhere is payant, get the APP.

Will definitely stay again

Politeness and a smile opens many doors, I don't speak French well, but was very pleased at how friendly and polite the people were. I mean all the people not just the ones that are getting some financial benefit from you.
Basically, be nice, don't be an ass, and you won't get treated like one.
Take a moment to look at how many men these small towns lost during WWI, must have been devistating.

The apartment was clean and comfortable and the bed linen provided with the 15€/person linen package was of good quality. For a holiday where we didn’t intend staying in to eat, it was perfect.
The location was excellent, a five minute stroll down hill took us to the heart of Sarlat-La-Canéda with its multitude of places to eat and things to see. Yet the view from the apartment was largely trees and greenery and it was generally so peaceful that you wouldn’t know that you were in the city.
Attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel. The architectural history is amazing. Staff are exceptional. The rooms are stunning. They have thought of everything. Loved having breakfast in the courtyard next to pool each morning. The location is perfect, we were in the heart of old Sarlat, so no matter where we walked to each evening, it only took a few minutes walk to get back ‘home’!
Loved everything. The hosts were exceptionally helpful, the room was gorgeous, the location was unbeatable - you're looking down on the main square in Sarlat, one of the most beautiful cities in France (or anywhere, for that matter). There's food and entertainment right outside the door - do yourself a favour and book a stay at Les Chambres du Glacier.
Lovely peaceful location, in a beautiful region of France, but also very close to Sarlat. The gite had everything and was perfect for a couple. It was so great to even have our own little fenced-off patio in which we could let our dogs out freely - also the use of the lovely wooded garden which was completely fenced. We'll definitely be back!
Excellent choice of hotel!
The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Location is perfect: less than a 10-minute walk to the old town, and easily accessible from out of town.
The rooms were very roomy and clean.
Breakfast was plenty and tasty!
We definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again if we come back to Sarlat.
Location in Sarlat is great! Very funky hotel with nice smelling shampoo! Room was not big but not a problem for us. Clean and airco worked very well (good because it was so hot out!). Breakfast was nice. We found free public parking not too far away - about five min walk which is fine if not much luggage. Would stay again!
The property is superbly located in the center of the medieval town close to many excellent restaurants. The owners were fabulous, helped us with restaurant reservations, met us at the hotel, and had many suggestions, and had a surprisingly well stocked kitchen for us. The room itself was wonderful.
The apartmant was very comfortable, clean and warm. The bathroom was a good size with a great shower. Short walk to cafes, restaurants and the historic part of Sarlat-la-Canéda. Parking was conveniently next door giving easy access to to the car which is a big plus in most towns in France.
the small hotel was perfect for the free car park and for visiting the medieval centre of Sarlat. It was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The hosts, Astrid and Gerhard were so welcoming and helpful. I would 100% recommend this hotel.
Having a car, the location was good. Plenty of parking space at accommodation.
When we had a small issue the host was more than accommodating and helpful. Very pleasant.
The bathroom was clean. (Something we struggled finding around france).
The hotel was perfectly situated in a quiet residential area above Sarlat but only 5 minutes drive down to the town. Clean, modern, lovely pool and garden. Delicious breakfast every day and very helpful friendly owner. Easy parking too. Perfect.
The host was very friendly and very knowlegble about the area. The place was a nice size and clean. Also, it was very close to the actual town of Sarlat-la-Caneda, you could walk in to town in a few minutes.
A lovely small hotel full of character with very friendly and helpful staff. The location was excellent - just a 10 minute walk into Sarlat but in a very quiet location. The pool and breakfast were excellent.

Thé hotel was beautiful and the room and bathroom were very nice. The grounds were also beautiful and the owners very helpful and nice. I would absolutely stay here again.
Great location! Right on the edge of the old town which made it easy to get to and short walk to the everything you want to see. Paid parking is right across the hotel.
