The room and the rest of the hotel were clean and beautifully decorated. This includes the swimming pool as well.

I needed no earplugs here: the area outside is quiet (just beyond the main tourist area) and the soundproofing insides is outstanding. Bonuses: family run (that extra touch), free parking (but maybe you want to park on the street the first night until you figure out the logistics) and a balcony, where you can dry clothes (don't worry: the neighbors across the street are doing this, too). The sunset strip is about a 15 minute walk.
