The room was very well equipped, very spacious, everything is new. All rooms are completely differently decorated, but all of them have jacuzzi and a large shower that can be turned into a hammam.
Check in/out is done at the restaurant downstairs, staff are super friendly and offer you water and coffee/tea.
The location is great, right on the lake.
The room doesn’t have a kitchen, but has a teapot with a selection of teas and instant coffee. They also gave us vouchers for 10% discount for the bakery nearby.
I was pleasantly surprised by this place.
I was there during the Easter and they even put a box of pastries as a present in the room.

Helpful, at every turn. A glass of wine while sitting at the patio, overlooking Lake Lugano was amazing. Need to remember, the building is over a hundred years old, so it's not your typical Hotel. But the experience of staying here, will last you forever. A good 6 to 7 minute drive to Lugano main street and waterfront. A picturesque drive for the memories bank.RichardUnited States of America

Great breakfast. Fantastic View. Comes with the Ticino pass which gives you discounts and free public transportation in the area. Nice restaurant down the Street open till 10:00. Although it was winter time the view was wonderful to wake up to in the morning. Staff is exceptionally friendly, I have been guest at the Diamond hotel for decades but would gladly stay here for a few days instead.
