Very friendly and helpful staff, anytime we had a request or question they assisted with a positive attitude. The facilities were also very nice, and well kept up. We had a view of the river located right next to the hotel and it was really nice view.
The kitchen provided a extensive breakfast and a good option for dinner that left us satisfied. Great option for a good price.

Since Filisur is actually covered by Davos ski pass (i.e. free rides to Filisur if you're wearing equipment for mountain skiing), it is possible to stay here and save couple dozen of Euro, but with some caveats. The hotel is very close to the station, but it's a hike up to the station, about 10 minutes, which is absolutely not possible with Ski Boots on (doable with snowboarding ones). The village is very pretty and very quiet. Although first train to Davos departs at 8-04 and the last train comes at about 20-00, so no night life if you decide to use this place as your base for skiing, unless you have a car. But it's only 25 minutes to Davos Platz from here! The Rinnerhorn is even closer if you're a fan of that area and it's torturous T-Bar ski lifts (hint: it does worth it ;) ).
The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Location, middle of town. Room was nice and comfortable. When I checked in late at night, Roman carried my bags to my room and upgraded me to a suite and it was wonderful!

Super level of service! I was traveling by bike. And I fell in Chur. The hotel graciously proposed to me their pharmacy kit to treat my road rashes. Moreover the room was spacious. I will stay again in this hotel if I travel back to Lenz 👍

Liked everything. Shame that the group next door was very noisy.
I only stayed a day and a night which was perfect.
I only stayed a day and a night which was perfect. It was nice to experience staying somewhere a bit different from the big cities and resorts. It was very quiet and there wasn't a lot to do in Tiefencastel, I did a couple of small local walks. There was only the restaurant in the hotel, and I saw one other cafe (not open) in the town, and a shop by the rail station. It is a good base to access several famous train journeys including the Bernina Express and Glacier Express.

Tiefencastel is a small town on the road to 2 popular Swiss resorts. It is small, and has a hotel, a petrol station and lots of beautiful country side.
It is good as a stop over, or as an affordable base to explore this part of switzerland. Davos and St Moritz are both less than an hour away. There are plenty of nice outdoor areas to ski, hike or bike in the area.
First, I should say we never usually leave negative reviews. We are aware that we are commenting on people's businesses and livelihoods, and feel our reviews should help those looking for places to stay, not upset the owners.
On the positive side, the hotel is easy to find, has it's own parking, and the lady who checked us in, and who did the breakfast, was lovely. The location is great for hiking and for the cable cars, but for relaxing and sleeping it is truely terrible.

There is not much going on in Tiefencastel but it is a great stopping point for multiple routes and the bus/train station. Our room was very comfortable and we loved having the river outside which drowned out any other noise. The dinner at the restaurant was very good and since it was the only place in town that was a relief. Typical European breakfast which was satisfying.
The food at the hotel was lovely, dinner was three courses and there was a buffet breakfast.
The bedrooms were nicely decorated, bright, and clean with all of the facilities required including a TV and a hairdryer.
The staff/reception was helpful and friendly.
Great breakfast, clean and pleasant hotel with very helpful and nice staff. Rich breakfast, all facilities like high chair or cot for a baby available on request. Parking spot next to the building.
The hotel is super sweet, comfortable, cosy and had everything I needed. The staff very friendly and helpful. Not too far to Davos. All in all, great little hotel
Room was spacious and tastefully furnished.
Location was good and close to church and the highway. There is a skii trip from hotel with very affordable prices.
