We loved the property’s location (2 min away from the beach, 15 min away from the park entrance), pool terrace in the middle of the jungle, bar/restaurant, staff (thank you Carlos for showing us all the monkeys around the hotel and lending us your torch and binoculars!) and kittens!

I absolutely loved the layout! You feel like you are staying in a villa, each room is positioned on different levels of the stairs. 3 pools! Each with a different vibe, one for social gatherings and a volleyball net, one for a more zen pool time with the occasional monkey/iguana visit, and one that is central to the private rooms. A rooftop terrace overlooking the jungle was a unique and perfect for social spaces to get to know people. The restaurant and bar are easily accessible, delicious food and great servers! The rooms are cleaned once a day which is refreshing after long days at the beach when you are covered in sand. Selina hosted a different activity every night that was welcoming, inclusive and tons of fun for everyone who joined! The staff were very approachable and very helpful! I recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Manuel Antonio! It gives you the opportunity to branch out and meet new people every day as a solo traveller!

We had a garden level room but you still saw some of the ocean. The views of the garden and birds that where right outside the room where amazing.

location is insecure. A lot of homeless and drugs around the hotel. Casino is ugly, small and there are no dealers.

We felt right at home at this fun and unique family hotel. There is so much do to both at the hotel and around the area of Quepos. This place is perfect for travellers wanting a funky, playful, and relaxing experience. Staff helped us arrange for tours to Manuel Antonio park easily. Breakfast in the morning was always amazing and is vegetarian friendly. Hotel also has laundry services! Highly recommend Villas Jaquelina!

Andy our butler was an absolute gem - and went out of his way to help us with everything including dinner reservations. The room and comfort levels were really good, they are fairly new so to be expected - the bed was super comfy and the view quite stunning. The fact that Macaws fly past at frequent intervals is amazing and the monkeys are also quite a feature near the pool and down on the on-site walk - we even had a sloth camping out close to us for the first night! There didn't seem to be many people about but I think there were. The pool area is quite small but never got overcrowded and the food wasn't bad, service was good :)

Very rarely do we spend time in our accommodations. But between the pool, the restaurant, and the wildlife on property, we had everything we needed on property!
