Bad Schönborn is close to the motorway which suited me as I was travelling north from Switzerland and needed a night's break. The hotel restaurant was closed (I believe because of staff shortage) but I used a very good Italian restaurant nearby. I didn't have time to explore the area but it seems a popular holiday area whilst remaining quiet.

Quite a quiet town but we always felt welcome. There seem to be quite a few restaurants to choose from but our favourite was Da Renato. The food is really good and the staff are very friendly and welcoming
