you pay for where you stay, however this room is more advanced than what I thought. the landlord is reasonable and expressed excellent common sense and support during my stay. I’m really glad that I stayed here as part of money saving in such a convenience room.

On arrival we were told that we must travel to the base of the castle and look out for a car park sign, which was so small I spent 15 minutes trying to find. Then you travel in a lift. It is a 5 minute walk from the lift to the reception. Then our room we had to walk 10 minutes from reception back to the lift then up the lift, several flights of stairs along 3 long corridors to reach our room. I was recovering from damaged left knee ligament injury and had it stated this was not suitable for people with a disability or the room was a lengthy walk we would have chosen another room when we booked. Our room was so basic, you would view it as a hostel type room, the beds simply not what you would expect from a hotel. The bathroom facilities were shared in a separate room which was not clear on the website either.
The website said the hotel had a cafe and a bar. However, the cafe was a counter and only served cold food and the drinks were sold at the cafe counter so it is deceptive to claim a bar. You really would expect a hotel of this type to serve hot food and their website should clearly state they do not. Several other customers complained. In fact we were sent to the only other eating place in the village and when we got there found out it was not open on Wednesday nights!
