The check in is only at 3pm, we arrived at 130 to a locked door so we went across the street to have lunch then they opened the doors at 230. The owner was nice enough with limited English.
The room was big and we have two rooms for a family of four and that was nice. It was very clean and they provided towels and a big bottle of sparkling water. The twin beds were comfy. It was hot but there was a fan in each room. The location was nice in that it was right in front of the river. The breakfast was great!! Eggs, breads, fruit, meats and cheese, we really enjoyed that!

Very nice hotel in an extremely beautiful place of the earth. Our rooms were big, with comfortable beds. The food in the restaurant was also good, especially supper. It was so good to have the opportunity to eat after late arrival. Because not all the hotels have that. The staff was very nice and helpful. Recommend this hotel to all who want to stay in the district.

So nice. Booked one night, but wished we had booked 3! Albrect and Maria Gietzen were so helpful. Albrect met us at the station even though it was a 4 minute walk. We received free bus tickets to Burg Eltz and restaurant recommendations in the nearby towns (10 minute train ride). Room was comfortable with a great bathroom and balcony right in the winery. Fabulous Rieslings to buy right there for 12€. Breakfast was lovely.
