It is a lovely small town. Easy to walk around and see the sights. Lots of restaurants and cafes, it is advisable to make reservations for dinner.
Not sure how good you can communicate in English (we are Germans). There are plenty of things to do around the area, especially if you like walking.

Quedlinburg is a beautiful market town with a multitude of cobbled lanes, fachwerk/half-timbered houses as well as a huge choise of cafes, restaurants and shops. The Schloss and the market square appear to be the two focal points of the town but there is plenty to see if you explore the quieter lanes away from the tourist centre.
One thing to be aware of - the town is not the best for wheelchair and disabled access due to the cobbled streets and lanes.

There isn't much to do, see or eat during evening unless you happen to be in the very center. For this visit I was not.
City itself has a really pleasant and historic look to it, view from the castle is also good.
This city is served by the Harzer Schmalspurbahn.
Would not rely on public transportation to get to or from this city.

A beautiful and historic town with a wealth of sites to visit - castle, churches, museums and just wandering about the old town. I was only there for 24 hours and would have loved to stay longer.
If you are only there for a brief visit, do check in advance that any particular things you want to see are open; some were closed when I was there on a Monday. But I still didn't feel short changed.

Very nice historical city with a lot of interesting houses, buildings. Good place for looooong walking (on a day we did 25 km!). The surrounding villages and towns are worth for a sightseeing, too. If you are there, try Quedlinburger, the pork version - very good. Go to the brewery for a fresh taste of beer (without filter) and eat a leg of a pork: 1 portion is more than enough for 2 persons. We are planning to come back...
Very friendly owner and housekeeper. Our room was kindly preferred during cleaning, since we arrived with our baby and we were too early in Quedlinburg.
We had Apartment No. 7 and everything that should be in a holiday apartment was there and it was very clean.
The street cleaning was at 5 a.m., but our baby had already woken us up and the street cleaning drove past the house in a short time.
We would love to come back and can only highly recommend this accommodation.
Thank you for your very good service, hospitality and for all
The apartment is centrally located in Quedlinburg. A very pretty, historical, Medieval town. Our apartment, Augusta, was a ground floor apartment, very comfortable and very good facilities- kitchen, large bathroom, dining room and lounge- with views to a covered patio. Secure parking is also available. Restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and tourist sites are within very easy walking distance. Our host is very professional, friendly and generous. We enjoyed our stay and wished we were able to spend more time.
Location is excellent: the hotel is just at the foot of the castle, at the edge of the old town. The Marktplatz is about 10 minutes away through the pedestrian streets -- more if you stop in front of every quaint old house to take pictures, and it's quaint old houses all the way. The owner (or manager, I don't know) is very friendly and helpful. The typically German breakfast is generous. My room was under the roof, with wooden beams and old-style windows that were very nice. And it was really quiet.
The hotel is very easy to get to and has an onsite, cheap parking, with loads of space. It is 5 minutes away from the main market so location is perfect. The room was spacious and very comfy so no issues there. The breakfast was spectacular, I couldn't believe a small hotel offers such a huge breakie. Hotel is a little expensive but definitely offers good price for money.
This was amazingly a high end hotel at a low end rate. This may have something to do with Quedlinburg is not a hot destination, and the town most certainly had signs of neglect from the days of the Soviet occupation. The breakfast was of the good German buffet type. We did not eat in the restaurant but the menu was short, inexpensive and attractive.
I loved the service! Whether it was the front desk or the restaurant staff, everyone was so kind & professional!
The location was also amazing! We got a great view.
Definitely recommend the hotel restaurant, delicious German cuisine.
Entering the room, it smelled so nice & clean, complimentary chocolate, water & cleaning wipes. Cozy ambiance.
The room was much bigger than expected, with its own private sitting area. The hotel was incredibly close to the city center, and had its own shortcut into the Marktplatz. Breakfast was great. The staff were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to make us a last minute dinner reservation.
This apartment was such a wonderful find and made our stay in Quedlinburg truly unforgettable! The location is perfect and the apartment was incredibly spacious and comfortable with plenty of natural light. The family is so lovely and accommodating - we'd love to stay here again!
Lovely boutique hotel in a historic villa overlooking the old town. Well-restored period detail, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and friendly staff made our stay very pleasant. The roof terrace with a marvelous view is an added bonus.
This hotel is in an ancient building that was formerly the tanners' guild hall. So it was fitting for a stay in this amazing preserved historic town. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom and balcony and views in 2 directions.
Very clean apartment in the center of the beautiful town of Quedlinburg. The beds are comfy.
It is an old style building, it is like a museum, we loved it.
You can park your car on a street nearby, for free.
Hotel located between railway and a road but the room was very quite and you could not hear any traffic. Free car park next to the hotel. Bright and clean room, newly built or renovated. Breakfast okay.
the bathroom was tidy, the breakfast quality was good, the hotel would have potential to improve beyond average if they want to, parking lots crowded but at least separated from street
The place is located in the heart of Quedlinburg, you can access the city by foot. Well equipped, super clean, everything worked perfectly and the check in process was easy.
The Gruber's renovated a 16th century timber frame house in the center of Quedlinburg. Their work is exquisite. The Gruber's were gracious and accommodating...amazing hosts.
Comfortable space, lovely town, great location! Would stay there again. Also would definitely recommend the restaurant of the hotel a few meters down the street!
Best things were location and how friendly staff is. There was a very good breakfast. As well an own pub in the hotel which I didn't use. Really comfortable.
