We chose this accomodation because it is close to Strasbourg (30 minutes by car). The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Clean bathroom. The staff was very kind, communication with them was really easy. Free parking near the hotel. The breakfast was very good and varied at only 6 Euro/person/day.

The afternoon front desk person was very helpful. He got us an extra bed and fans for our warm rooms and made suggestions for a trip to the Mummelsee. It was also nice we got rooms next to each other. Achern has some very nice restaurants and shopping if you have time to look around. The breakfast room on the 4th floor is bright and cheery and has an nice selection of breakfast items.
The family-run Hotel Hanauer Hof offers classically furnished rooms, a newly renovated restaurant Klara and a daily breakfast buffet. It is located in Appenweier, just 9.3 mi from the French border.
