We stayed there for a weak in the off season and had a wonderful time. I honestly do not know what could be improved. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the location is really nice and the SPA area great, I could imagine though that the latter could get a bit crowded, if the hotel is really fully booked.

The location is excellent, just a few hundred meters from a supermarket, restaurants and adjacent to spass park (though we didn't go in, it is just around the corner).
We found the indoor pool to be very clean, quite and fun (the kids loved the water stream).

Good as the base for outdoor activities like hiking and biking.
Our kind of vacation wasn't based on what the town has to offer, but on the surrounding nature, so I can't say much about the tourist's attractions in the town.
Sometimes there's a problem to find a place to eat. You have to reserve a place in the restaurant in order to get there. The fact that most of the restaurants have the same days off is not helping too.
Generally speaking, nice place. Not cheap though.

Schluchsee was relaxing, not overrun by tourists, plenty of lake pleasure and Black Forest walks. The Seehof restaurant was enjoyable with well-cooked food and the best service with a smile.
The red card with 100 activities for free, including train trips is a bonus.
Rooms and breaksfast very good for the price. Hotel hosts were accomodating. It clearly says the restaurant is closed, so no problem. I do not understand the bad reviews, so thats why I give it a 10, to offset the other reviews.
We had a room with a nice balcony and view, and the bathroom was clean and renovated. The house itself is a bit older, but thats okay. other hotels in this location sometimes ask double the price for a room. We enjoyed our time and are visiting again.
The rooms are very cosy and have everything you may need, even table games for the kids were there, which was a big surprise))) Kitchen is fully equipped and has everything for a family of 4 to prepare the meals. Also there is a very nice Italian cafe in the same building. Pool is very nice and clean, but may be crowded sometimes, so better chose the visiting hours in the morning or evening. Couple of hiking trails suitable for a kids also starting right from the hotel doors.
The hotel sits by Schluchsee and we have a very good view of the lake and the mountain in snowy or foggy weather. It is astonishingly beautiful. During our stay, we also used the breakfast and afternoon tea and cake there. The food, especially the cake, is delicious. The hotel staff treated us with care and patience. We also used the sauna in the hotel. It is definitely a good place to go in winter and in summer.
It was my husband's birthday when we visited the lake. The hotel staff were so friendly and they upgraded our room for free and prepared cake and wine for us. The room was clean and located very close to the lake and to some nice restaurants. We enjoyed the sauna in the room very much. It is a great place to stay in summer and winter!
The hotel is a small and very cozy house completely new inside. the beds are very comfortable and everything is very clean. The breakfast is very delicious and home made. The owners take care about all the details and to make your stay so comfortable. we had an amazing weekend. Recommend 100%
Absolutely everything! From location/environment and fabulous breakfast, to the most pleasant interior filled with lovely details and most professional hotel staff - it is all just perfect. Plus it’s pet friendly :) Plus cozy spa/wellness and indoor/outdoor pool The best hotel we’ve been to.
The hotel was beautiful and very peaceful. Everything was well maintained, and we enjoyed all of the facilities. Additionally, every person we spoke with was helpful and accommodating, providing exceptional customer service. Lastly, the food was delicious and there was a wonderful variety.
great location and size of the room and furnishing is great.. restrurant and terrace offers amazing view of the black forrest and beautiful lake. The hotel offered free train tickets for 2 days of our stay to travel in the entire region and that was a great suprise and very sweet deal.
Absolutely wonderful location. Great apartment, exactly what we needed. Wonderful view from the balcony overseeing the Schluchsee.
The pool inside the property is wonderful.
The host as well as the staff is super responsive and very kind.
All in all simply nothing negative to say.
Das Hotel ist ausgezeichnet. The hotel is in a great location we had an excellent breakfast everyday and also used the hotel restaurant for our evening meals as it was the best place in the village. Staff were very helpful and even patient with my attempts at the German language.
The countryside of the Black Forest was ideal, absolutely beautiful and away from the main droves of tourists. The breakfast was robust and delicious. The location is not far from the Schluchsee, if you want to go there each day, so this was also very nice.
Great location within walking distance to the center of town, train station and Schiffarht. The balcony was facing where the sun was setting and watched the sun set each night. We love our stay on the Lake and would recommend this place to our friends.
The hotel is in a cute little village in a very nice region. Excellent view and nice clean air. Good atmosphere. Overall pretty nice. Breakfast was really good with a huge selection of items cold and warm. Dinner was good but lacked in size.
The location is dreamy and the hotel is straight out of a fairy tale. Room was spacious with great view. Staff was so accomodating. Spais very extensive with great facilities. Loved the atmosphere. I wil come back!
The location was perfect, staff very friendly, breakfast was very nice. Staying in this charming hotel near Schluchsee is a great place to start exploring the amazing Schwarzwald.
We loved it!
3rd time at the hotel, and not the last.
Everything was fabulous. The heated pool and the gym, the restaurant with amazing breakfast and dinner.
The staff was kind and friendly
The location was good for walking to Schluchsee and the indoor swimming pool in the complex was fab. The Pizzeria served great pizzas. Nice to have a little balcony .
The facility was absolutely amazing and very very clean. There was parking right in front of the hotel and there is even a restaurant there for dinner.
