Friendly staff, good food, nice evening pit fire. Aly is great host and very responsive and arranged tours for Oracle/Amoun, Cleopetra springs, mount camp and the salt mining pools. He also helped me by arranging for laundry service.

Our time at Cafour House is the number one holiday I've had so far. As we arrived, Abdu and Nora (the owners) were helping and showed us around. Their kindness, communication and hospitality is waaay more than the expected, we really could enjoy the time here without any problem. We had traditional egyptian breakfast, and also had lunch and dinner here for a very reasonble price. All meals were quite big portions, and tasted very well, thanks to the kitchen staff!:) The hot spring is very nurturing, you can literally see the stars from the tub at night. One of my favourite. The location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can experience real silence and peace here without and disturbing sounds. The centre of Siwa city is a 15 min ride by tuktuk, for a very reasonable price. Abdu and Nora also helped us with the programmes, we tried desert safari (100%worth it) and we visited the Salt Lakes, the Cleopatra Spring, the Oracle Temple, the Amun Temple and watched the sunset on a nice spot with Hakam. He is an excellent tour guide, he knows a lot about this mysterious little city. I can fully recommend to ask him for guiding. It's hard to summon the whole experience in one single sentence, but i'll try: I will definitely come back:) Greetings and hugs from 2 hungarian traveler ☀️

A beautiful green lake sits among this ocean of yellow sand, but Siwa has more than just breathtaking sceneries, it carries a culture of its own; local habitants of Siwa actually speaks their own language, which is more like the language spoken by the Berber (desert people from further west), than the Egyptian Arabic spoken in the rest of Egypt.

Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature.

Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature. The Mountain of the dead and The Temple of the Oracle are must see sites. Take the desert safari to explore the desert, ride around sand dunes, see an oasis, visit a hot spring. Nice!

Siwa is on of hidden Gems globally, it takes 7 hours by car from Cairo the Capital, Enjoy the nature in every single thing, starting from morning, enjoy a traditional Bedouin breakfast, Safari in western desert with local guide, sand surfing, and Tea on fire, ending it up with midnight camping on middle of nowhere, Second day, the salt lakes where it heal your skin burns or scars, do it carefully and don't put your eyes into the water, Never. Ending up in Cleopatra spring to wash up all your sins, ;) Third day, have a round in old Siwa, enjoying Abdo Rest. eating local food and shop around for pure healthy herbs.

There is little to do here.

There is little to do here. Two mediocre archaeological sites, one spring (Cleopatra pool). Only one restaurant. The fresh water lake has no real access. The salt lake is a long drive to where you can swim in rectangular mined areas. It might be ok for people who want to hang out in their hotel beside a pool and do nothing. Flies everywhere and bad mosquitoes at dusk and dawn.

Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa.

Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa. I know the road there and back may dissuade you but it is entirely worth your time. In fact, I would dare say you NEED to come here. Here you will experience a different culture than the hustle and bustle of Cairo and Luxor. There is plenty going on here but it is much less crowded and much more peaceful. The Siwa Salt Lakes are a must-see experience. There is something almost other-worldly in the air here, especially coming from the busy streets of more densely populated Egyptian cities. Just a few days here in the middle of your trip and you will feel ready to tackle the rest of your Egyptian cities. Missing this place and all the tuktuk rides so much!

Olive Garden House is a gem in Siwa. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable with big blankets. There is a living room and good internet. The kitchen is fully equipped, perfect for cooking your own meals. The garden is beautiful, with many plants, a tent, a fire place... It is located a bit outside the center (20 min walking), so it's very peaceful. You can hire a tuk-tuk for excursions and to go to the center. I definitely recommend and will stay here again when I come back.

We went to Siwa in cafour house a few days back and I must say - it was one of the best trips ever. The people working there are so welcoming, you feel right at home from the first day. Special thanks go to Noor and Abdul for the great hospitality and nice conversations, and of course to Hakam our guide for the whole trip - he made our holiday perfect. Such an amazing person with a great view of life. We wish you all the best and hope to see you soon! Warm greetings from Toon & Gosha

The place is super cozy and full of personality! Location is perfect with an amazing view from the terrace, Nalnshal is very organized and clean. No air condition but no need, the fan worked well. Amer is there to help with everything, smiling and making delicious juices and having nice chats anytime. You even can have a great massage if you need! We also met the owners, a super friendly couple. Strongly recommend! I will never forget Siwa and the Nalnshal house. :)

Host very accommodating and responsive. He helps us on booking for all transport from place to place at a very good rate and tour to siwa Salt Lake too. This apartment just a walking distance to siwa town and lots of food surrounding. It is located at second floor and only access is staircase, but not to worry, cos the host will be helping to bring up all luggages as well as during check out. Really appreciate for all help and thank you very much !!!

We had an amazing stay at WAFLA. Ahmed is very knowledgeable about the area and he was incredibly helpful with tours and transportation. He went above an beyond to give us a great time in Siwa. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and the chef cooked us delicious breakfasts and made us a dinner on request. The room was clean and comfortable and the whole site was beautifully decorated. Truly couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you Ahmed!

Albabenshal is conveniently located in the center of Siwa below the old fortress. It is a 5 minute walk from the bus station. The design of the lodge has been done well with simplicity and using local resources to create an inviting, unique and restful place to stay. The staff are welcoming and accommodating from room arrangements to helping us arrange outings on the day of. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Siwa.

What a great place to stay. Siwa is a very hard city to get to, but once there, you will love its people and sights. We were lucky to stay at this hotel; they were so helpful, setting up all activities we requested and always there for us. While its location is removed from the city itself, it is very easy to get a toktok to drive you around. I highly recommend this place, you will love it.

As a designer, I know how difficult it is to present a lot of stuff while being neat and clean in a space, but it’s truly comforting when it’s achieved. You can find that in Siwa. Baben Home is the perfect place to chill out and think nothing and just assimilate with the space. People are really nice there and will be a lot of help when you need anything.

Friendos house is a great get away from the city noises and perfectly located between dessert and farms. It offers a private hot spring and a family vibe. It's typical siwa style, simple and quiet. Enjoying chilled time by the fire under the stars. As a solo traveler it's great as you can have a private or shared room for a reasonable price.. Thank you

We had a great time in Siwa and loved our stay at Sleep in Siwa. It's a rustic stay but comfortable with all the amenities. We loved our morning time out in the backyard with the chatty cat. Ahmed was easy to communicate with and very helpful. He helped us plan our activities in Siwa and gave great tips. Totally recommend this place.

Hotel was large, clean, and comfortable. Food was a mixture of set menu and buffet, both equally delicious and freshly made. Yousef was very helpful in arranging a driver for me to take me to various locations around Siwa, as well as helping me purchase my bus ticket back to Cairo.
