Honestly- we have been to 10 different places around Spain so far and this is our least favorite due to the fact we were not able to get in a rhythm there. In the hotel location many restaurants were closed due to covid and that information isn’t available till you are standing in front of the door. Even the hotel! No dining after breakfast/ no bar so no beverages available. ( normally ok but only store is the gas station) We went to see the ruins - was $15 to get there ( reasonable for location/ no Uber's so getting back was a struggle. We finally got a taxi - got back to the hotel and he charged $60! Said it was $15 each -($30) to go there empty- and get us … told the hotel to make them aware since it was the company they recommended.

Stayed in Ciudad Real for one night during drive through Spain. City was a disappointment with no outstanding feature except the central plaza. Restaurants/cafeterias all seemed to close at 1900hrs. Couldn't find anywhere appealing even after an extensive walk through uninspiring streets. I suppose we could have just been unlucky, but we did really try hard!

Ciudad Real is ideally situated for and overnight stop when travelling from the North of Spain to the South. The centre is pedestrianised which makes walking around very safe. The centre is not very big but has lots of bars and some restaurants. The clock in the plaza is quite interesting when it chimes 20.00 and 21.00.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Exceptionally clean and meticulous about complying with covid regulations
No Bar or Restaurant. No facilities for any refreshment apart from Breakfast. Not much help to us on a Sunday night when most places locally were closed

Lovely city, I was amazed by the quantity of flowers everywhere, roses line the city streets, there is a beautiful park as wel as many gardensl. The Plaza Mayor, in the heart of the city, is lined with shops and cafes. There is also a "Glockenspiel" (mechanical clockworks with real looking figures that drink wine and play the fiddle). The city pulses with life,
My Saturday navigator got me to the property. This apparently does not exist. I could not get in and I could not get Booking.com to contact me in an emergency. At the property shown on the map and given to me I saw a resident who asked about the property and she said very few people can get into it.
I had to get another hotel that she recommended and has recommended to other people who couldn’t get in. I feel this is a scam and that Booking.com didn’t do enough to visit it.
Very helpful staff who sympathised with the major problem of parking anywhere near hotel. Room was plenty big enough and beds were comfortable. Shower/bath had ample v hot water. Location is ideal as only 10 minutes walk to centre of town. Bars and restaurants around popular plazas are ok but best vfm to be found in street directly opposite hotel - if you like traditional Spanish food as opposed to trendy psydo Spanish food.
We stayed one night at the hotel while traveling. By my mistake, the reservation was made for the day after our arrival, and I only realized it upon arrival. The staff was wonderful and promptly resolved the problem. The room was very cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but very tasty, again served by very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend it!
We were given a fine, light and modern room in a section of the hotel that was unknown to us. We were first assigned to a neat but old fashioned room that wasn’t up to our taste. With a little extra money we then got a perfect room with balcony overlooking the garden with swimming pool. The receptionists are very efficient, helpful, informative and very kind.
Excellent customer service. Front desk Emanuel very friendly, kind and helpful. Jorge very helpful and kind as well.
All personnel at the hotel and restaurant were very friendly, María José at the restaurant was also helping me to accommodate their menu to my diet.
Great value but woken up at 430am by a town "fiesta" with a banging DJ. I recommend the hotel as it is good value, has friendly staff (afternoon / evening) but not Cuidad Real if you want to sleep! Why can't they end at midnight or 1am? It spoils your whole trip.
We use the Silken as a quick stopover in our way to / from Lisbon. It is ideally situated in the centre of the city and is spotlessly clean and has excellent staff. The price is good for this standard of hotel and we wouldn,t hesitate to stay for longer........
excellent beds and Joanie was great. the breakfast buffet was remarkable. we were only in town for the Don Quixote museum and it was easy to get to by car from hotel. I would stay here again. secure parking but we felt okay to leave on Street
One of the best dog friendly hotels we stayed. It had a park across the street, perfect to walk the dog.
The rooms are nice and spacious. Very close to the city center with parking available on site.
Nice breakfast
The hotel was very clean and spacious. The staff were very receptive and friendly. Car parking under the hotel was very good, one of the best I have used
