See review already answered. A good place for a short stay if you want to visit Merida but do not want the hassle of staying in the town itself. So history and (Roman) architecture are only a few kilometres away.

We had an excellent two night stay at Don Alvaro.
We had an excellent two night stay at Don Alvaro. Lovely property and room with fantastic hosts. We ate both nights there and the food was very good, excellent breakfast. It is a good place to stay to visit Merida nearby.

We asked for dinner and were very glad we did. It was terrific home cooking but with lots of attention and love put into the cooking. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very well presented. A real gem! Thank you!
