We got to Hornillos and there were no beds. It was one of the few places so far where we hadn't made a reservation. So we found a room at Hotel Santa Coloma del Camino. Unfortunately it was pretty far off the Camino and the taxi cost us $25 Euro each way. And the hotel was 103 Euro as I remember. But it was nice and we needed a place to sleep. We were packing light and didn't have the option of camping out.

The staff, particularly the cheerful and helpful guys who directed me to my bunk and served our communal dinner were great and welcoming. I liked the women’s showers and bathroom.

Sweet village with some great restaurants and albergues. Definitely worth to spend a night in this place if you have the opportunity. I can especially recommend the dinner at Fuentestrella Restaurante. It has live music and fantastic food (loads of vegetarian options!): what more could a peregrino want?!
