La Jonquera is a place we had to stay in (we were passing through walking the GR11) rather than one we chose to stay in. The hotel overlooks the motorway and railway line and is one of a row of characterless buildings. But it was clean and perfectly pleasant. It is adjacent (in the same building) to both a big restaurant and a huge supermarket.

Impeccably clean. Really comfortable. A genuinely enjoyable stay throughout. Great value for money. Excellent dinner. Charming and helpful staff. An incredible village which is full of character. The streets are extremely narrow and full of character. Take care driving through.
