Small town by the sea with great little restaurant on the water's edge. Lovely people and quite a change from the hussle and bustle of other more touristy parts of the island. Here they speak to you in Spanish and are very kind and helpful even if yours isn't the best.

A sleepy village, but beautiful - a definite for people who need to relax and chill out, and a great base for visiting the southern and middle parts of the island. There was plenty of choice for places to eat and bars, along with a supermarket, bakery, bank and pharmacy. The beach is mostly black pebble, so not suitable for sunbathing, but was still lovely. The local people were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. We visited over the New Year and were disappointed that there were no celebrations, despite there being a covered area with a stage - in fact most places were closed so don't go at that time if you want a busy NYs evening!
