The host and his wife were incredible!. They let us check in early. The facility was a little older but very clean. The hosts were very accommodating. There was a laundry facility and you could hang your clothes on the rooftop. I hung up my clothes and the hostess moved them for me to a better spot. The attached restaurant has snacks and a full bar. They made sandwiches for us to take away for lunch . There is an awesome rooftop that you can bring up drinks and have a great view of the water. They. were very accommodating and kind.  He made suggestions for different restaurants for us to try.

The breakfast was a fantastic way to start the day, everything was delicious. We also had dinner at the hotel and it was superb. The staff was always nice & the location can’t be beat!

What can I say? This was one of the most pleasant surprises I’ve had in years while traveling and staying in different hotels. I’ve never been to such a good 1* hotel. The quality-price range is unbelievable. You pay a truly fair amount and get absolute comfort, a quiet and well located place with McDonald’s, movie theaters and streets of stores and bars at a 500 meter distance. The hotel area is quiet after 11pm or so, which provides a good night of sleep. The breakfast can be bought by 5€ and it’s totally worth it as there’s no chance one could eat and drink as much for that amount on any other place for a breakfast in the city. The room wasn’t the smallest I’ve been, having even a small desk and pretty nice storage as required, and even the bathroom shocked me on how modern and stylish it was.

Hotel Alda Castelao is located 1969 feet from the beach in Vilagarcía de Arosa in Pontevedra province. It has a striking stone façade and offers air-conditioned accommodations with free Wi-Fi.

The front desk staff, Valle in particular, were friendly and efficient. The location is right in the middle of the small downtown of Vilagarcia, so more ideal for commercial reasons like dining, shopping or business than for waterfront or beach activities. The garage is difficult to get to in a pedestrian street and very tiny and narrow to drive into its winding ramp, so recommend the big private public parking garage a few blocks away instead.

The hotel is lovely. A small one, with everithing you need for stay at Poio in Pontevedra. The breakfast was very good and the pool area is comfortable and relaxing. The room was very clean.
