The host was so sweet and kind. The location was also fantastic and I had a lovely view of the harbor. I had a private room with a shared bath and it was great for a rest day on the Camino. I also liked that the host turned the heat on when it was cold. Not everyone does this!

Didnt see much of village of Onton, hotel is next to busy petrol stations and not much to see in vicinity. When travelling by car from Santander access is easy but leaving heading for Bilboa involves an awkward junction in opposite direction.

We've stayed here several times over the years and always been pleased with our experience. There was a "blip" last time we were here when the quality of the food in the restaurant seemed to have slipped, but this time it was as good as we remembered from other visits. It's a good place for travellers to spend their last night in Spain on their way to the home-bound ferry. We'll be back.
