Everything was perfect! The apartment was so clean, warm and quiet. The owners were friendly and helpful. There was even little breakfest in the kitchen waiting. Location was super for one night stay on our way to north. Would definitely go back any time!

If you're interested in the history, look online as it's fascinating how this apparent ruin of a village came to be that way - and the fact there are now people living back there - and a really lovely "rural" hotel - and wooden church! Have stayed at this hotel 6 times. Location is rural and quiet. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel staff helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast includes homemade cakes and biscuits. Would recommend this hotel as a stopover. Only 50km from Salamanca. Very peaceful area, back of hotel faces a massive lake. Nice terrace at back of hotel to have an evening drink. 3 course dinner inc wine for 10 Euro. Our portions were massive. So not fine dining but good wholesome food. Breakfast again was ok. A lot of the village was tumbling down and looked deserted,...
A lot of the village was tumbling down and looked deserted, but when we went for a stroll after dinner, we saw children playing. It was really peaceful with no traffic, and seeing the moon rise over the lake was a treat! The food was excellent, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. Next time we're on the A66/N630, we'll stay there again.
