FAQs about hotels in Le Mans
On average, it costs $85 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Le Mans for tonight. You'll pay around $112 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Le Mans will cost around $317, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Even though tranquil Le Mans has a well-preserved medieval centre and virtually intact Gallo-Roman walls, it is most famous for its iconic 24-hour race. Motorsports lovers the world over descend for a day (and night) of non-stop racing on the Circuit de la Sarthe.
This legendary track encompasses parts of the permanent Bugatti Circuit, but also spills out onto normal roads which get shut for the occasion. One local restaurant is even placed right by a straight which cars hurtle down at top speed before braking for the bend near the Golf des 4 Heures club in Mulsanne.
Also within the circuit are the Antarès events venue and La Sarthe Automobile Museum, open even when there is no racing. The name of the latter refers to the Sarthe River running through the city centre. Colourful, half-timbered buildings line its historic banks, and steps climb gentle hills in the old town.
More charming houses fill the streets surrounding impressive St Julian's Cathedral, started in the 11th century. The city history is detailed in the nearby Museum of Queen Bérengère, and the town hall is in part of the former Palace of the Counts of Maine.
Booking.com’s Le Mans accommodation includes hotels with pools, cheap guest houses, and apartments near the train station.
A large city with useful selection of shops. The highlight was our visit to the historic, Plantagenet quarter and the two town centre museums (free entrance.) Good selection of restaurants for all budgets. For a bit of pre-Christmas cheer it was ideal. A walkable town centre with a good tram service which goes as far as the 24 hour race Track.

Fantastic location in the old town.
Fantastic location in the old town. Architecture is simply stunning and has to be seen to be believed. No where else quite like it. Lovely restaurants and bars a stones throw. People are lovely and friendly. Great weather. The annual Summer evening light projections / show are superb. Lots to also explore and enjoy in main centre. A drink in the square people watching is a good way to spend an hour or two. Our 2nd time back in ten years to stay with Brigitte. We will be returning!

The room for people with disabilities was accessed from outside at the opposite end of the building from the disabled parking and the restaurant. A 200 metre walk in the cold, dark and rain was hardly "accessible".

Le Mans offers much more than the 24h car race, the old town on the hill is very beautiful. Of course, another impressive cathedral - don't miss it. And also don't miss to have Crepes and Galettes ;-)

Really lovely hotel, rooms were great, good size and lots of added extras, like free soft drinks in room, nice toiletries and slippers etc. Staff were very helpful and really friendly. Only downside was that the restaurant was not open when we stayed but the staff advised us where we could eat locally.
We chose the hotel for the location to the Le Mans circuit. We timed our visit so we were able to drive the public roads section of the track as they were being readied for the 24 hour race. All signage was on the course and it was truly a fantastic experience!
The hotel was easy to locate with ample parking. There was a bistro restaurant on-site which was convenient. There is a shopping centre about 2 minutes away by car , if you need anything.
The old city of Le Mans is about 15 minutes by car (depending on traffic). Worth a visit.
This hotel is ideally situated for those wishing to stop overnight in Le Mans and wishing to spend 2-3 hours walking around the historic centre. For those seeking an easier access, the tram is 2 minutes away.
Every individual from the moment you arrive is intent upon providing a service with a smile.
The room itself was comfortable and spacious and well appointed. The whole hotel has been recently redecorated throughout and gives a fresh and contemporary feel, in cotrast to the external build.
We liked everything here. We are not even going to complain about the two flights of stairs we walked up. From check in, the host is the best. We really liked her. This place is not your ordinary hotel/guest house. Very unique. Very charming. Location is perfect. The shower was great. This place is like an apartment. The host left us breakfast for the morning which is wonderful. Did I say we really liked the host. Would have liked to spend more nights here.
Location was ideal for me as it was en route for my trip, and 15min from the Le Mans race track.
Staff where good and welcoming.
Room as adequate, it literally states in the name, 'budget' and was great for just the night in a bed and shower in the morning.
Breakfast was, well, bleak, but i didn't book this stat for it's breakfast, jist a cheap room for the night, in a bed, which it fulfilled.
Thw coffee was great tho 👍🏻
What an incredible experience we had at Le champ du Renee. Our hosts were so welcoming and wonderful. We came from California to see the Le Mans Grand Prix and our stay at Le champ du Renee was perfect. We were very comfortable and so well taken care of. The breakfast and food was exceptional and we enjoyed our time together. I would love to go back!
The room was spacious and spotless. Excellent value for money . Very close to the historic part of town with many restaurants and bars. I would happily stay there again. Excellent breakfast and underground parking with no extra charge despite being told there would be! Easy drive to Le Mans race track for the 24 Hrs
The hosts are very thoughtful and provided a hamper (pay to use, but still great!) and...the coffee for the filter machine is incredible. Well roasted arabica...tasted Kenyan, but hey...good is good.
Close to Old Town to view some amazing ancient architecture and for some great street cafes and bistros.
This is the perfect location for the Le Mans circuit. We only wanted to visit the museum as it wasn't Le Mans time of year and, as a racing fan, I wanted to visit Le Mans on our way to Bordeaux. Our host was very personable and the breakfast basket full of bread and pastries was fabulous.
This hotel is in an ideal location to explore Le Mans. It has a car park which is real bonus in this part of the city. We received a very warm welcome. The breakfast was lovely. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for a stop over in Le Mans.
Lovely hotel, very clean with very friendly staff, lovely gardens. Breakfast was very nice. We used the hotel as a stop over on the way through France, the hotel is easy to get to from the local through routes.
Excellent location right on the edge of the old town of Le Mans. Wonderful host who met us to help with parking near the property, and gave us a map of the old town showing us where to eat/drink etc.
Great location (closest hotel to the Bugatti circuit), super friendly staff, cosy room with comfortable bed, decent breakfast, free wifi and parking! I'll be back next year for sure.
A budget hotel with plenty of facilities, 24hr reception, coffee bar and a decent breakfast, underground parking, central Le Mans, very friendly staff, what’s not to like.
Great location to the walking center of Le Mans, Very secure and accessible parking. Easy check in. Excellent kitchen set up. Wonderful shower and toilet facilities.
