A wonderful almost hidden gem, the whole town is a living museum full of lovely historic buildings by chance exactly as they were hundreds of years ago. We continue to be amazed at the sights within the town.
Cannot recommend too much the Chez Félix restaurant in the town centre, great food, lovely staff, very pleasant atmosphere appealing to all ages - and delicious Champagne!

It's a busy town, but our host gave clear instructions to find free parking within a five minute walk. This property is right in the historic heart of Troyes, so you really get a feel for the place. The architecture is stunning - tall timber framed merchant houses, and some other stone built elegant structures too. With just a one night stay, and a ferry to catch the following day, we had nowhere near enough time to appreciate it - and no time to visit any of the amazing churches. We need to come again to enjoy it all properly. We ate at a popular grill restaurant in one of the old timber-framed buildings. It was buzzing and busy, but they fitted us in. We enjoyed local food and some champagne from the region.

The old town is lovely: fascinating architecture and quaint laneways. Not buzzing with cars so easy to get around on foot. Every encounter with the locals was pleasant. A nice place to soak in la vie francaise.

The city centre was easily accessible being level with plenty of restaurant options. The old buildings gave the city a wonderful atmosphere and there are many things of interest to visit. I will return for a third visit.

Troyes is a fantastic, friendly, safe city.
Troyes is a fantastic, friendly, safe city. Easy to walk everywhere and so much to see and do a few days is not enough. The museums, medieval houses, churches are fascinating .It is like walking into history. Don't forget to visit the Mediatheque, the collection of ancient books is amazing. After an afternoon of exploring try one of the many cafes for something yummy to eat. Then take a night stroll down to the canal to see Troyes lit up at night!!
Actually the apartment is in the historical center and it's amazing! The shops and restaurants are just around. The apartment is very modern, clean and cosy! We had everything needed and also enjoyed the coffee and some snacks provided by the host. The public parking ( under city) townhall is very close and not very expensive. Our host Christophe was very friendly, easy reachable and ready to advise in case of any questions. We've really enjoyed our stay and if one day we return to Troyes, we'll surely stay here again! :)
Emilie’s property is exactly as pictured and described: warm and welcoming! It is very functional and comfortable to sleep four, yet tastefully decorated, which makes unwinding after a busy day very easy and natural. The location within Troyes is also brilliant. Easy to park and forget the car, to do everything
on foot as everything is at short walkable distance. Emilie is also very organised and
ready to provide a full guide of Troyes full of handy recommendations. We really appreciated our stay at Emilie’s property!
A beautiful building in a perfect location for visiting this gorgeous city - right outside the canal with its impressive fountains. The family were welcoming and extremely helpful and the house and room was spotless. Our room had a lovely big shower and bath and a big sofa bed for our son. Breakfast was glorious - fresh breads and croissants, fruit, yogurt, cheese and delicious homemade jams. The perfect example of a chambre d'hote - we were sorry our stay wasn't longer.
We have travelled a lot in France and this is now one of our new favourite stays. What a wonderful and gracious host. The apartment is beautiful with wonderful art. We were cared for really well and it was just the stay we needed after a few days hotel hopping back up to Calais.
Troyes is well worth the stop with great history and architecture as well as an exciting art scene. I wish we had, had time to stay longer. We shall next time. Stay here you won't regret it.
Hi Christophe, such a lovely apartment! Everything was so clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equiped, with everything we needed for our two year old son like a microwave and the high chair. It’s so easy when things like dishwashing liquid, salt, pepper, oil and coffee are in the apartment for a short stay.
We enjoyed the location in the heart of Troyes and I will def recommend your place to others travelling to Troyes or for a stop on the way to the South of France.
Overall great hotel with friendly staff. We were enroute further South of France and this was a quick stop over. Nice and clean. Great bed. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. We also had a recommendation for a lovely pizza place 10 mins walk from the hotel. All round great stay - we booked for the return back to the UK journey, glad we did.
First of all the staff at reception very nice and helpful, guided us to a pharmacy to obtain the EU Covid pass that proved indispensable through the rest of the trip.
Room large by France standard, very clean and quiet. Hotel has parking and breakfast was excellent in selection and in staff friendliness.
As described.
Very responsive host.
Perfect central location.
Comfortable bed.
Directions to free car park were accurate (500m).
No kitchen but a good coffee machine , kettle, fridge ..
A great stopover when driving from England to South of France.
Good location. Easy walk to the center of Troyes. Comfortable beds, lovely kitchen, main bathroom was nice with great water pressure and lots of hot water. Desk fans in every bedroom was a very nice amenity. Very helpful and accommodating host.

It’s a charming historic hotel beautifully restored in the medieval city of Troyes. Rooms are lovely, its location is very central, parking is easy (we visited off-season though). Staff is friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
Very nice hotel. We had a lovely two night family stay. Troyes was a great town and the hotel was well positioned for a quick walk in and out of town. Attentive staff and good breakfast too.
We spent 28 days in Europe and the breakfast at Relais Saint Jean Troyes was the best of all of them. Everything was freshly prepared. The fruit salad was very fresh!
