Friendly campsite with tents, pods etc in a good location for hiking and seeing the beautiful highlands. Showers and loos were clean. We forgot to bring bedding for the pod but were able to hire it. It was a bit hot in the pod as there is only one small window to the front (very high temps of 25 degrees at the time) but apart from that we were comfortable and the staff were helpful.

A small walk across the road from the Green Welly brings you to the Clifton Cottage Bed and Breakfast (not a hotel) where you will find a warm welcome from Carmen and Tam . After walking for most of the day from Kingshouse on the west highland way . Clifton was a welcome sight indeed. An opportunity to get rest in a comfortable bed and finally get my clothes washed at the midway point . As Carmen said “Dont suffer in silence ,just ask if you need anything “ The washing is what I needed and within a matter of hours I had all my dirt clothes cleaned and dried ready for the big miles day to Kingshouse . Nothing was a hassle and the welcome I revealed was very nice from both Carmen and Tam.
Make sure to read the black book in the room for some great history and advise on what is available locally and information on munros,Scot’s History and of course the West Highland Way . The room has all the tea an coffee facilities you need a few sweet treats a small fridge full of water and juices and fresh milk none of that UHT nonsense extra pillows smart tv decent shower and extra pillows . Breakfast was fantastic as they both knew I had a big walk ahead of me a very large bowl of porridge, coffee ,fruit juices and a fry sent me on my way. Oh and the hosting was great too all good craic with both Carmen and Tam . Remember this is a bed and breakfast not a hotel there is a difference for me the service was the difference a far more pleasant and personal experience a d a good night’s sleep.

Keep in mind that hotel is in the middle of nowhere and you have to relay on their bar& restaurant menus , not a cheap one. The nearest shop is 8 km away in Tyndrum.
Hotel has fantastic view and plenty choices for short or long walking or hiking.

This is a lovely hotel and they have a fantastic setting for people walking the West Highland Way. From the reception staff, to the porters that I met, everybody was very friendly and polite. My room was fantastic and a great collection of tea and coffee and shortbread . Dinner was absolutely gorgeous, good selection of wines and gins! Breakfast, catered for most tastes, I would say. The Hotel was children and dog friendly and it was a lovely experience to stay there. I hope to return!

The hotel was conveniently located for walking the West Highland way as it is on the trail. It's a nice, warm hotel and the hotel room was nice albeit quite small. It had a bath which was great as we didn't have this luxury every night! The restaurant/bar area is pleasant with an outside terrace to sit on - we enjoyed the last of the evening sun out there with a beer. The breakfast in the morning was delicious with plenty of options and good portion sizes to set us up for a long day ahead.
The location- if you are walking the West Highland Way could not be better. Amazing views all around. The dinner menu was incredible- probably one of the best I have come across in a small hotel restaurant. I had a pork chop, with a caramelised wedge of pineapple, caesar dressed salad and fries. Best meal I had in the whole 5 day trip- and for a very long time before. They hotel also offer excellent pack lunches for walkers.
fantastic location if walking the West Highland Way .
The food & service was amazing .
Huge compliments to the Chef as it’s the best food we have had for ages .
The cabins where so clean & faced out on the river .
lots of nice extra touches in the room like a packet of crisps and tea/ hot chocolate sachets .
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel .
We loved the Bridge of Orchy….we were there whilst hiking the West Highland Way and could not have been more delighted. The room was charming, the tea and scones with clotted cream were the eat we’ve ever had and the staff were so kind and helpful. One of our very favorite places we’ve stayed!
staff were fantastic - they were very knowledgable about the area, very welcoming and efficient. nothing was too much trouble for them
the room was lovely - great bed, good tea and coffee selection, very peaceful/ beautiful location

Beautiful location in Bridge of Orchy with forest walks and the West Highland Way from the front door. Close to Glencoe for more scenic hikes. The staff were delightfully friendly and helpful. The food was good and the room was very comfortable.
Amazing hotel right on the west highland way.
Food, room and staff were amazing.
Service was on a par with 5 star hotels we have stayed in.
Dinner was excellent and service was so smooth.
Staff really work hard and know what they are doing
beautiful property directly on the West Highland Way. The staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. Lunch options for hikers, a good breakfast, and a lovely room made our stay fantastic.
Location ideal for our purposes as a first stop touring round Scotland. Staff were really lovely and food acceptable. Very quiet despite being on the side of a main road.
Lovely hotel, we stayed there for one night along the West Highland Way. Beautiful and comfortable room, generous staff, and a great restaurant! Would highly recommend.
