Nethybridge Hotel, hotel in Carrbridge

Nethybridge Hotel is situated in the heart of the beautiful Cairngorm National Park, a 10-minute drive from the A9 and 30 minutes’ drive from Inverness.

The restaurant menu and restaurant service was terrible. The staff barely speak English and are very inexperienced. The menu was parred back from the online version on which we based our decision to dine there. Front of house staff were very good.

Eriskay B&B and Aviemore Glamping, hotel in Carrbridge

Situated in the highland of Scotland, Eriskay B&B and Aviemore Glamping is located in Aviemore.

I was staying in a pod and I really liked the fact that it had a proper coffee machine and not just instant coffee. The location was great….away from the noise but within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. I really liked it that although I was in a pod I could use the bath in the main guesthouse building. Both host and hostess made me feel very welcome.

Carrbridge is an attractive quiet village with woodland walks around it. It has a shop, garage (cheap petrol) and a cafe. The Landmark attraction is great for children and the Highland Wildlife Park is not far - both great activities.

    It was very peaceful.

It was very peaceful. The staff Gina was helpful when we arrived. It was a bit far from anywhere walking. The lodge was adequate and the kitchen was fully equipped. However the cooker was old and while clean wasn’t very nice. Some of the buttons were worn and difficult to use. The heating was adequate. The bed felt hard and too narrow. We didn’t eat out so can’t comment on eating places. However it wasn’t far from Aviemore. We visited the ski centre, Loch Garten and Loch Morlich.

Carr bridge is a beautiful place, lots of things to do. However my partner and I stayed at the MacDonald Lochanhully resort and it wasn’t the best. Good things to do are; Quad trekking Clay pigeon shooting at Rothiemurchus Zip lining

Beautiful location, nice and cosy cabin with beautiful nature surrounding it. Esay access to the Town and local market. There is an activity area for the children but it is very expensive, horse riding and boat trips are also available in the area.

Nice old fashioned inn; food and drink excellent, great staff, especially Nathan, who went above and beyond to greet everyone at the bar. Despite shampoo and soap issue and noisy plumbing in my room, I’ll be back.

Very good location. On my 20 ti 25 minutes drive to Inverness. Town itself is very beautiful. There is a landmark adventure park nearby and kids would love to enjoy. Lochanhully resort is wonderful to stay with kids.

The expectations were low from reading reviews, but it was the only accomodation in the area that could accomodate us as a family of 5. I was greeted by a lovely lady at reception who was very kind and clearly experienced with the public. She even let us check in slightly early. There was also a lovely older gentleman who was dropping off laundry on the morning of our departure and he was again very cheerful and kind, he offered to take our rubbish, so i didn't have to drop it off.

Everything! Used to be an old hunting lodge, and Steve and Tracy have transformed it into a fabulous Inn. Beautiful rooms, very clean, super comfortable-best “sleep” of our entire trip, great breakfast! They were professional, but also treated us like old friends while we hung out with them in their very own bar that one evening. Reminded us of what B and B’s USED to be like back in the day.

A wee gem of a cottage which managed to be both compact and spacious; that's no mean feat! 😁 The cottage is ideally placed to explore Carrbridge and the surrounding area on foot, and also to travel further afield by car. Spotlessly clean and very comfy, with lots of little extra touches (thanks for the milk and eggs!) that made it feel like a home from home. I will definitely return!

Wonderful location and excellent facilities for a great family break. Staff were friendly and helpful and plenty to do on site. Carrbridge is just a 15 minute walk, with a couple of restaurants and shop there if you don't want to drive to Aviemore or Granton. Plus plenty of walks in the area, along the river or up into the woods.

The hotel has a nice pub where you can play darts and pool. It also has a small outside terras. We could benefit from some Scottish good weather and drink outside. Rooms are quite old but they are clean. Bathroom is small but functional. We also ate in the restaurant and again this was very good (their mussels are delicious).

The owner went out of his way for everything possible, including offering me to drive to a city a half hour away because I had a flat tire. He wasn’t expecting any kind of payment. He was looking just to help in anyway you can you will not find this anywhere I will always be loyal to his hotel for his services.

Location was excellent, close to village centre with a pub and restaurant, the train station just around the corner from the bnb. Carrbridge is on the mainline from Inverness to Glasgow. Breakfast was served in the room between 0800 to 0900, lovely and delicious filled rolls. Enjoyed the chats with Scott.

Perfectly set in Carrbridge, peaceful spot set away from the touristy area and charming traditional Scottish decor on a beautiful parcel of land. Our room was large and so comfy. Steve and Tracy were absolutely lovely hosts (and cook!) We wish we could have stayed here longer.

After discovering that the local town was busy and seeing us on a bicycle made for two, the hosts very graciously provided dinner. The bar was a wonderful place for tall tales and the dram of whiskey will not be forgotten.
