This place is so quintessential English. Its just lovely. We had a dog with us and were really please to be shown into a ground floor room with french windows to a private enclosed garden for the dog. But more than that, the place was like an airbnb in so far it had its own kitchenette with fridge and microwave and little seated area for eating only someone else did the cleaning. There was also a spare bed. We were just a couple and a dog, but the room is very spacious and ample for a small family to stay comfortably. I honestly could live there. The staff were so lovely and friendly. I really liked how they employed a range of different people from the village, you could tell it was a real hub for the community. Its not posh or plush, its definitely a pub, but its just perfectly so. The breakfast was delicious and amazing value considering 2 x Egg on toast and coffee came to £30 in Castle Acre, so 2 full English and 2 coffee in with the price was amazing. The restaurant food was good and homecooked too. The village is lovely, there is a convenient co-op/ butchers/ deli down the road with everything you need, but the really great thing is, Thetford Forest and the Arboretum are just behind the property, literally a 5-10 min walk. On the photos I thought we were driving to the woods, but no, we just walked there really easily. We really really loved this stay. It was like a big cuddle

I didn't have the breakfast, but I did have fruit, pastry and muesli in the room when I got there.
There was also a fridge with milk, water and a yogurt in.
I loved the fact that it was just like the photos ( I stayed in cocoes one)
I could sit on the sofa for the tv and to study which is the reason I went there.
Sitting out on the balcony area listening to the church bells and the birds was fantastic.

Breakfast was excellent, a good range of options and great to be able to specify a "lighter than full" option. We had one dinner and this was good quality and value.

Fantastic pub excellent choice of beers, and staff very welcoming to me and my dog, the room were very clean and after a long day walking it nice to relax in the bath.
My clothes were a bit creased in my back pack, the staff were more than helpful in supplying an iron.

Comfortable bed but too much wildlife in the bedroom!
Comfortable bed but too much wildlife in the bedroom! We counted 4 flies, a moth and a large spider which was extremely disappointing for a deluxe room. We've stayed on farms in the past and never had flies in the room.
Plenty of mould in the bathroom silicone, and the shower head looked grotty. The shower tray was extremely slippery and therefore dangerous. There was no shelf for toiletries.
Breakfast was efficient but we had to suffer vacuum cleaner noise and floor cleaner smell.

Excellent family run pub and accommodation - the room was large with excellent shower and extras such as bottled water and mints. Superb value for money. The bar and eating areas are real gems with log fires and great choice of real ales and menu options.

Beautiful Area, very quite, about 1 hour travel to coast line but is on a good route. Lots of pretty villages and walks in the area. Plenty of parking. An adjoining campsite I know was handy for extra family to stay over a few nights.

We have stay here before and liked it. Firstly they are very dog friendly, which we wanted. The staff, location, and food/drink were excellent. We had dinner in most nights and loved every meal - good food and plentiful. ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for days out to the forsts, Holkham and Brancaster - Dog loved it. There is a village common just a short walk up the road at Great Cressingham which perfect for early morning or late night doggie walks. Rooms are extremely good value.
We appreciated the attention to covid protections with masks being worn throughout the hotel. The Deluxe room was well equipped. We enjoyed the breakfasts. The bars had character and there were plenty of seating areas in 2 conservatory extensions. There were plenty of outside tables where we were able to enjoy the Anglian sunshine. The premises are set in a pleasant rural setting and there are plenty of car parking areas.
Location was great for us as my mums family is dotted around and this lovely pub was more or less central.
Was very clean and staff were lovely from morning staff to evening staff.
Plenty of choice on the menu and food was great.
We have tried few hotels and pubs nearby when visiting family but this was by far the best and friendliest we’ve stayed in. It will now be our go too place when we stay overnight.
This is a lovely country pub that has been extended and adapted into a hotel with spacious, clean, well appointed room.
The staff are polite, friendly and very good and they looked after us very well. The food is lovely and the vat is a proper bar with local
ales and plenty of them
8 of us stayed for a wedding at Curds Hall Barn. All our rooms were close together and it was really good fun. Breakfast was amazing & much needed! Hotel was quirky and cosy and in a beautiful spot. Reception team could not have been more helpful returning my charger to me.
We booked the rooms in the hotel after our wedding reception and everything went smoothly. The staff was very helpful and the room was beautiful, clean and the bed nice and comfortable. We also had breakfast in the morning that was delicious.
A warren of rooms add to the character of the hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was gorgeous served in a relaxed setting. Sheets and towels were top quality! Will definitely stay again if in the area. 👍🏼
I room was kept clean, a couple of stains on the carpet could’ve been removed. The furniture in the room was old but well kept and of good quality. And they were very Covid minded throughout the whole hotel.
The rooms were very big, clean and quiet. Being a dog friendly hotel was great. Food was lovely, staff were friendly and couldn't do enough. Good choice for breakfast and the food was nice.
The staff were excellent and probably the best thing about the place. Food was good and plentiful. The bedroom was very spacious and cleaned daily but possibly a little "tired"
