The site is so lovely, nice walks with 2 small waterfalls (bit of a trek to get to them)
The caravan had everything we needed, was clean & fresh.
Reception staff were great, we did not manage to get to the hotel as we were only there 2 nights.

We loved everything about our stay. Such a lovely town with the most amazing panorama. House in general very well organised, spacious rooms and more than enough bathrooms and wc’s for a bigger family. We liked so much open kitchen with a dinning room, lovely for a bigger group to have a dinner together. Everyone been complimenting the beds and pillows, they been super comfy. Thank you for actually letting us stay, it has an incredible and unforgettable experience, literally the house is a little gem. Definitely coming again. Ps. A massive thank you for a housekeeper, she being so friendly and amazing.

Lovely Clean Room in a quiet location. Bed was very warm and comfortable. Appreciated having the heating turned on as the weather was miserable and cold. The shower was nice and hot.

The town is a busy little place with plenty of choices for eating out , bars etc. It a key access point for two heritage railways, and for Portmeiron. Black Rock Bay is superb, rolling dunes and sandy bay for miles. Very large holiday home resorts back onto the bay, though well hidden. So expect some very busy times and lots of families enjoying their weekends and holidays, out of season the beach is perfect for beach walks.MelvynUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
Great restaurant's to take your pick from.
Great restaurant's to take your pick from. A really lovely pub (The Australia) highly recommend and the Snowdonia national park on your doorstep . you can also take advantage of the main line train to do large sections of the Wales coastal path getting off and walking a section and on again at different stations, Note, please tell the conductor witch station you want to get off at as the train doesn't stop automatically at all stations. Welsh coastal path is stunning in and around porthmadog well worth walking.

We primarily chose this hotel so that we could spend time in Port Meirion village. We did go into Porthmadog and took a ride on the steam train. There are shops and cafes in Porthmadog but we dis not visit them.

Porthmadog is a great place to stay. Local shops and Tesco for shopping and petrol. Short ride to Black Rock Sands. Not to be missed. Drive on to the beach. Magical with stunning panoramic views. Ffestiniog Steam railway from the town. Portmeirion a short ride away. Stunning location. Not to be missed. Porthmadog great location for day trips out. Porthmadog is the perfect place to stay when visiting...
Porthmadog is the perfect place to stay when visiting Portmerion, or if walking and exploring the area. It does have a pretty harbour/marina. There are plenty of choices for eating out. Plus the heritage railway is a short walk.

The food in the restaurant was excellent we ate on 3 nights , all the staff were friendly and chatted freely . Our room was very comfortable and the spa bath was a treat . The outside terrace was ideal to sit outside undercover in the autumn , the last night was torrential rain so the staff rearranged the indoor areas so it was comfortable to sit inside . I would highly recommend this hotel.

The kids loved the mezzanine sleeping area. We are at the hotel both nights, and the food was delicious. The pizza on the outside pizza oven was a highlight and the kids were happy playing in the play park which was viewable from the outside dining area. Location is also idea for everything you might want to do in the area. All in all really lovely break and would 100% recommend it.

The first night we were in a twin room in the attic. it was on the 3rd floor and I can barely walk. There was no lift. The room sucked so bad my husband told them we would not stay for a second night. The reception hostess was so nice. she managed to switch our room from the attic to the best room in the hotel for the 2nd night that room was very nice. it had a private patio, a king bed plus a twin, a larger bathroom and we were quite happy with it.

A lot of thought has clearly gone into furnishing this very well maintained property, with its "Tardis" like features. The 2 bedrooms are downstairs, along with a bathroom. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and were totally happy with the food. The mussels were the star of the meal, probably the best I've ever eaten. Breakfast was a typical LARGE British and was very good. Yr Hen Fecws is highly recommended IMO.
