Grosvenor Hotel Rugby, hotel in Rugby

The Grosvenor is just 800 metres from Rugby’s centre and rail station. It offers fresh, seasonal food, free WiFi, and live Sky Sports in the bar.

Room was unclean in particular the bathroom window. Towels one had lipstick on it. A bedside and dressing table light did not work. On returning for the next night...the bed unmade ,the dirty cups and rubbish not dealt with. STILL DIRTY TOWELS. . The decor was chipped and dated as were the furnishings. A disgraceful hotel. The one member of staff who greeted me was friendly and efficient but no-one ever seen again over my 2 nights. I wish I had read the comments made by others on your site before booking. A number echo my experience. Booking. Com should withdraw from promoting this hotel if your reputation is to be respected.

Small market town full of character.

Small market town full of character. Suffers from empty shops in the town centre like everywhere else these days but still plenty of independents on Regent Street, Albert Street and the others in between. Out of town shopping at Elliots Field and Junction One is good. Lots of fantastic places to eat but particularly love Bacco Lounge, Satchmo's Corner, Quatre Vin and of course the original Casa Loco. Not forgetting live music at CV22 bar.

On booking we did not have a problem but in the last few days before arriving I had a knee problem and my husband a back problem on arrival the room was up a flight of stairs the bed far too soft and when sat on it it moved we asked for another room the bed a bit better but the ceiling very bad and windows awful, we felt too uncomfortable to stay as we only found out a few days before arrival that the restaurant and bar were not open and on looking around there were no restaurants or cafe in close proximity and I could not walk any distance, the wallpaper was coming off , so we informed them we were leaving to find a better hotel , the staff were difficult to understand , it needs a lot of work done to it before having guest we could not have a refund but a small amount would have been good

I really like Rugby, friendly people, lots of quality real ale pubs, I have stayed there 2 nights at a time 5 or 6 times now and even in the town centre have yet to meet the type of undesirable person (anti social behaviour) that seem to be more prevalent elsewhere

    Give this hotel a try.

Give this hotel a try. They are lovely staff and trying to get it back to normal since covid. It will get better all the time. Don't listen too much to previous reviews as we have stayed before amny times before covid and it was great.

Very friendly and dedicated host, with the facilities exactly as advertised. Overall it was very clean and well kept. The room was quiet and comfortable with a large central radiator for personal temperature preference. [A stand up fan was also provided during the heatwave!] The location is quiet and perfect for any visitor, situated with a convience store less than a minute away or a short walk to ASDA and the town centre. What was initially a 26 night stay in April became a 59 night stay in total. Fantastic, Thank you!

Great location in rugby: a quick walk to the train station or the city centre with lots of basics like groceries and takeaway in easy reach. A full kitchen (shared) is provided, with cabinet space allocated for each guest room. The room was very clean and quiet. Bathroom is shared, but is clean and modern and meets the needs. Not a lot of amenities, but everything worked and the television was good. As a basic touch-down pad for a short trip, this property was just what I was looking for.

Great stay overall. We did have a minor issue at the outset when a restuarant booking was taken for a day when the restuarant was closed. But once the hotel could see what had happened, the matter was quickly resolved and we were given a private dinner in the Library. As it was our wedding anniversary this was a welcome solution. Overall this is a great hotel in a lovely village. We've stayed several times before and are likely to stay again Thank you to the team on-site

Single room was unusually spacious. Lots of character with an original beam running through it but modern fittings. Best shower ever, although small, in a hotel and I stay in lots. Nice toiletries too. Quiet in the room even though on a key road in the area.

The flat was clean and in a quiet area. It was warm which we appreciated as we had snow. The kitchen had everything that we needed, although we didn't use the cooker or dishwasher. The fruit and milk left for us was a nice touch.

I was in a cute, little cosy room with newly decorated bathroom. I loved the lighting of the mirror which was adjustable. Many hotels have bad lighting, which makes applying make-up or grooming more difficult.
