Everything you need is thought of in this lovely house. No on site parking but plenty of availability on street and local square (2min walk) cafés available for breakfast. Would definitely recommend you try Burford garden centre though!

Don't normally do reviews but for Stow Lodge we are making an exception. First stayed at this hotel in 1979 for our honeymoon. Hotel still owned by the same family 44 years on which says something nowadays. Staff still as helpful, friendly and cheerful and hotel still has that homely feel. Meal in restaurant on the night we stayed couldn't' be faulted, quality of food and quantity was exceptional even I remarked on the qaulity of the Creme Brulee which is most unusual.

Such a caraterist historical little village, with an enchanting and peaceful feeling. Every corner, and every building, is so picturesque and deserving photos. Our main meals were at the Stow Lodge Hotel, food quality superb and good value for money. Loved the antique shops and local cafes.

Pretty little Cotswold town with lovely honey coloured stone everywhere.
There is free parking at the local Tesco supermarket, five minutes walk from the town. The town square has is very spacious and also has parking.
If you like coffee and beer, you are in for a treat. There is an abundance of tea and coffee rooms as lots of decent pubs, including the Porch Inn which claims to be England's oldest.
The townhall is worth a visit as it has a very elaborate upstairs hall.
Make sure you get a photo of yourself stood by the two Yew trees that grow at the front door to St Edwards Church - very iconic.
Lots of National Trust properties nearby too.

Lovely market town, with some great gastro pubs.
Especially the Queens Head pub at the end of the square. Landlady Anna and the bar staff Eva really looked after us and we had a great dinner there.
Another tip is the famous Scott’s of Stow kitchen shop and their outlet store full of bargains upstairs.

Great location, right in the centre of Stow on the Wold. We received a very warm welcome from Clifford and were treated to a cream tea on arrival, with warm scones from the local bakery, which were lush! The room was spacious. A continental breakfast was provided, with a choice of either sweet or savoury croissants, toast and granola with yoghurt, tea, coffee and juice. The accommodation had only just opened recently and we wish the owners and Clifford well.
The location of the hotel in Stow on the Wold was perfect for visiting local areas. The Marketplace was lovely with great little shops and restaurants, especially the Sheep.
We ate at the Stag on our first evening and the food was very good, and a great selection of choices for breakfast too.
Lots of beautiful villages only a few miles away.
The staff were very good and very polite and would do anything for you.
The room was clean with a large bathroom (MUCH larger than the other small lodging/inns we stayed at). There was a lovely backyard with table and chairs overlooking a broad lawn, flowers and trees with birds chirping - a great way to end each evening. It was also a perfect location to explore the Cotswold area and central Stow on the Wold was a minute's drive with many restaurants.
This property was perfect for our family weekend. Everywhere was lovely and clean with enough space for us. The location could not be better. Walking distance from Stow on the Wold and a fabulous pub a 2 minute walk away (The Fox Inn). Very dog friendly, although mine did get under the fence (mad Cocker Spaniel will escape from anywhere!). We are definitely planning a return visit!
Great hotel in a lovely location. Nice room, cleaned well and promptly. Slight concern re effect of leaking roof in adjacent corridor causing smell of damp. No doubt this will be fixed.
Excellent evening meal, really helpful and professional staff throughout, who coped well with the extra problems of social distancing.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Stocks Inn. The staff were so friendly and accommodating; drinks were great in the bar in the evening and the food was excellent. I'd definitely return for a visit to the Cotswolds, as its a perfect location to explore from, and am happy to recommend this place to anyone inquiring.
Breakfast was great! Full English breakfast for my husband that he could not even finish. My daughter and I ate continental because we aren’t big meat eaters. She had a great hot chocolate. We loved the room, very cool to experience an authentic old hotel. Dinner was wonderful as well.
Brilliant boutique hotel on the main square in Stow on the Wold. It has been sympathetically modernised and has a great atmosphere. Rooms comfortable and well-equipped. Both dinner and breakfast were very good served by friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar area and outdoor area.

Lovely little hotel, well placed for visiting the Cotswolds. Recently refurbished. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Overall a very nice ambience. Ideal for couples. Bedroom small but well equipped. Excellent dinner in restaurant and breakfast the following morning.
Everything, the staff are so friendly and accommodating, can't do enough for you. The rooms are clean and spacious. We stayed in November, and the room was warm . The food is really good, the choices you have at breakfast and evening meal are great. Can't fault this hotel.
Beautiful, historic apartment. In the middle of the village square so you’re close to everything. Plenty of shops, cafes, tea rooms, co-op, and places to eat. You’re close to other beautiful villages in the Cotswolds within a short drive.
