The sea view from our room was breathtaking and our balcony was perfect for capturing the morning sun with a cup of tea and a good book! I am still missing that view....

Room was fabulous, spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were lovely, in quality and selection, and were served in the conservatory which was clean and bright. The staff were cheerful and helpful at all times. The location is ideal, being just a short walk into town, to the pier or to the beach. The car park ensures your car is safely tucked away and the garden is a delight for a bit of peaceful time. The building is full of local history, making it an interesting place to stay and we will definitely be going back. A warm sense of nostalgia bringing my 81 year old mum back to what was her convent 69 years ago!

Really nice hotel and right in the centre of Swanage. Arrived by train from London so the short walk was really handy. Staff were welcoming and friendly and I'd definitely stay there again.

Fish and chips on the front were superb, and there are lots of nice cafes. The pier is invigorating with fantastic views, the steam train station within a short walk, and a lovely long promenade to walk. There are a good number of welcoming pubs, and a variety of restaurants including pizza, mediteranean cuisine, indian takeaway, burgers, and wonderful bakeries offering Dorset apple cake, pasties and pastries.
Lots of interesting shops with Jurassic keepsakes, RNLI gifts, and antiques. There are supermarkets, a chemist, and cashpoints. Once down in the town and at the seafront, it is pretty flat, so easy to get a round, but the hills can make it a difficult climb back after a day on the beach!

Great traditional sea side town full of everything a family would need for a good holiday.
So many kinds of take away food, restaurants and chippies. Brilliant choice of shops for all tastes.
Steam train trips. Boat trips and crabbing in the small harbour.
Very long sandy beech and beautiful walks to be had along the bay and cliffs.
Bird watchers will enjoy the bird colonies along the cliffs.

Out of season Swanage is still charming. Small enough to walk round, but large enough to have a variety of shops and eateries. The Salt Pig was good for eating in. You can walk the coast path amongst other walks.

we only had two full days in Swanage in the middle of November, so our experience was not typical, We did look to drive into the town and park on the road by the side of the seafront, however the parking charge of £4.30 for the first hour put us off, who wants to benefit from 3 hours at £7.00 in November. As we didn't use the town car parks we cannot comment on the charges in them.
My husband has bad knees so we didn't park and walk around the town but there did seem to be some interesting little, individual shops as we drove through, We found Corfe Castle a delight to visit, especially the NT tea shop! We hope to go back.

I've stayed in Swanage several times and this reflects my like of Swanage and the surrounding area.
The Town / beach / numerous eating options / the compact layout of the Town makes it easy to navigate. Also great walks in and around Swanage for short strolls or longer treks.
Can't say I would have anywhere that I would avoid on subsequent visits.
We had a fab time in Little Hyde Cottage. It is very quiant and homely with everything you need for your break/holiday. Lovely little courtyard garden. Brilliant location 10 minutes into town and beach. Very dog friendly. Key collection very easy. Parking is a bit of a pain but off loaded luggage then parked up road. When these cottages were built there weren't cars! Wonderful cottage in lovely Swanage. Would definiately recommend and we will definiately stay there again. The Swann family and dog 14.5 to 17.5.21
Lovely, homely apartment. Excellent location and great to have parking. Very short walk to beach and Swanage Railway.
Comfortable beds, and really nice living spaces. Bright and airy. Plenty of storage space.
Plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans and crockery. Kitchen is small but perfectly functional and easy to cook a family meal.
Nice to have shelves of books, games and puzzles (and netflix!).
Nice to have a washing machine.
We loved it and have booked again for next year!
Great communication in advance, warm welcome and Lyn and Kevin were friendly and super-helpful throughout.
Room was immaculately clean with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. Our delicious cooked breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. We really appreciated that our hosts had organised free parking permits for guests' use. Easy level walking distance to town centre and beach.
Lots to like. Great location for town centre, beach and coastal walks etc. Did not need to use the car during our stay also the car park over the road was perfect for 24hr stay and only a pound during winter months.
Cottage was comfy and had all you need, perfect location😎
Our dogs were relaxed in the room and I should mention that allowing dogs to stay for free is a real bonus 👍
Loved staying at the limes with my family. Beautiful hotel in an amazing location close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Comfortable room that accommodated myself, my husband and our three children. Sarah was so welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast room is beautiful and having breakfast made for us each morning was such a treat! Would definitely stay again.
We chose not to have breakfast at the accommodation as we like to go out.
The location was ideal for walking to the beach and into town.
Martin very welcoming and friendly and checked both mornings everything was ok.
Room was clean and bed comfortable. Not a lot of space in the room, however this was fine for us for 2 nights and we were just using it for somewhere to sleep.
The staff were all very friendly and courteous.
The breakfast was good.
The views of Swanage from the bar and restaurant were excellent.
The garden was a lovely spot to relax.
The beach access was also very convenient.
It was also nice to see the hotel from everywhere along the Swanage sea front, which made me warm to it. Easy to buy into the romance of the grand old building.
A wonderful room with sea views, and a very good size. Shot walk to beach. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and good service and friendly staff.
Been to this hotel twice before and it never lets you down. They managed the social distancing very well.
Thank you very much, un fortunately the weather was terrible especially for June.
It is a very spacious apartment and has all the facilities you could need. A very thoughtful addition is the owner left wine, cider and chocolate biscuits as well as cereals and tea bags. The beach is within walking distance and Swanage is a lovely family seaside.
great location in central Swanage - easy walk to town and beach, with plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants. garden was a real oasis. the house is really fascinating, the beds really comfortable and the bathrooms lovely. plenty of space overall.
really nice property- clean and lots of space. The views from the front windows were lovely. Nice rooms with pretty decor and on suite toilets and showers or bath in each room was perfect for our two families.
The location to Swanage town is fantastic, car parking brilliant, the hotel has a genuine family house feel, the conservatory out back has a good breakfast area, looking out to the well kept garden.
The breakfast was good and very filling which we needed because we had a long day at a wedding nearby. The view and access to the beach were second to none - I think this was the best part.
I visit swanage several times a year (I have family there) so I knew the location would be good. The parking was good. The apartment was very spacious and well kept.
Lovely hotel with stunning views. Situated a short work to Swanage and set on the cliff top over looking the sea with direct access to the beach down loads of steps
Great location central to Swanage and 5 minutes walk from the station. Beautiful building and grounds. Very comfortable bed. Large room. Quiet. All good.
The location was perfect for a quiet stay and easy walk to town or beach. We thought it was empty…so quiet…yet fully booked. The breakfast was delicious.
